Circuit Accounts Servants Confesses how the SCAM WORKS!!
by JT inyes, i too have wondered how an assembly that is held in a fully paid for assembly hall, with no food service, could possibly have $10,000 in expenses.
i suppose the bethel speakers have transportation expenses - maybe $1000 or so.
as for rent on the assembly hall, well you have already paid for it once, why pay again?

The as stated assem costs had been bothering me for years especially when I found out that the newly built convention center within 30 miles of nearly ALL pubs in our circuit cost $800.00 a day.!!! It is nicer by far than than our assem. hall we were forced to attend over 200 miles away. Not only did the pubs have the additional travel expense they either had to pay for lodging or get up at 4am to make the long preparations neccessary due to no food service.
The Assem, hall was built in the early 70's yet the cost per day was about $3,000.00. We were told that some of the expense was to pay back WBTS loan. Are you kidding me??? 40 years???????!!! The scam was revealed in the Menlo Park KH debacle. The WTBT$ requires expensive upgrades, inflates the cost (often tripple), loans the money at 0%, then comes up with the min. monthly payment. Paying is MANDETORY. Who cares if the "friends" don't want need, or can afford the upgrades??? No wonder they don't want circuits to rent local buildings!!!!!!!

Who On This Site Would You Like To Meet?
by minimus inthere are a lot of interesting people that frequent this site.. sometimes, we get an idea of what the posters are really like in "real life".
and i'm sure i could be easily surprised by some that you think might be strong personalities because of their board presence, and in reality, they might be shy in a face to face setting.. i would enjoy meeting simon.
simon used to be terribly annoyed by my posting and now i think he's accepted with tolerance my being here.. farkel seems like a grouchy cantankerous fellow but i think he'd be very interesting company!.

Have you ever heard a talk on child molestation following a judicial reproof?
by NVR2L8 inwhen someone is reprimanded by a judicial commitee there is usually a talk given to the congregation about issues that leads to serious sins.
sometimes that talk takes you by surprise because the reproof was private and no announcement was made to the congregation.
other times you figure out why an individual was the object of a judicial commitee...i heard talks on the usage of drugs, cigarettes, pornography, bad forms of intertainment, fornication, adultery, fraud, gambling, disapproved medical treatments...but never on child abusers and mostly how to protect your children against this terrible crime.. do you think the reason there is never mention of child abuse is that if many knew there is a child molester in their midst they would pressure the elders to go to the autorities?

Never ever in 55 years. Yet, I have heard numerous announcements with talks marking teens both baptized and unbaptized for kid stuff like underage drinking, skinnydipping, etc.

The Way Things are, Not How You'd Like Them To Be
by AllTimeJeff inat 37 years of age, i'm much to young for feeling this damn old, so apologies for sounding less than idealistic, but...... we need people who will be honest and true to themselves.
having offered jws the entire decade of my 20's while they tried to suck out my soul, i have come to appreciate how little of a desire these days i have to change the world.
which was sad at first.

We agree, Jeff. I don't believe in wasting my time trying to empty a swimming pool with a teacup! The WT$ is't going anywhere soon. (except maybe out of Brooklyn). I'm new in my journey out and have much to learn. I only wish I knew what I know now 50 years ago!

I agree that living well is the best revenge. Still, I applaud the efforts of those who want to do more. Why should any of us care if some want to work behind the scenes gathering intel and using it stratigically. If a bright light is pointed on a bunch of cockroaches they scatter--possibly causing less damage. If it weren't for this forum and the efforts of others to provide info to those who are having doubts, hubby and I would still be stuck in the cult.
While there will probably always be doomsday cults, most don't teach child sacrifice is necessary to please God. Jehovah's Witnesses do. It is for this reason that I support efforts to enlighten/educate. The youth need access to accurate info in order to make an informed decision to break the "born in" cycle.
Illistration:It's important to kill the eggs if your pet has fleas . The same is true with the WTBT$. If the youth learn TTATT before reproducing, eventually the older ones will simply die off. The added bonus is that they will have few if any wasted years.
The difference between slaving for the Borg and slaving to end the Borg is the slave can quit the latter if he chooses.
