The Real Whore of Babylon
by Uncanny intoday i noticed on television via 'entertainment tonight' how that supposed, self-proclaiming jehovah's witness 'sister' and top rating professional tennis player, venus williams, is back in the news again.. this time she was shown cuddling up to her italian bodyguard.
she had quite a loving expression on her face, while he had a glint in his eyes which seemed to say he'd like to do more things with venus' well toned body than just protect it from intruders or perceived danger.. last year, i posted on h 20 how appalled i was on viewing sr venus running around courtside with an american flag after she won wimbledon in england.
then there were those stationary tv close-ups while she stood reverently at attention as they played the u.s. national anthem.. my gripe in all this blatant display of double standards not so much concerns ms. williams' antics, but rather how they continue to be tolerated by her religion's governing body of jehovah's witnesses.

by Eyebrow ini have rarely found anything written by active jws here.
it causes me to wonder if this was actually set up by an active jw and got out of hand.
especially since the site asks us not to stumble our brothers.. ooooo....i have been warned about evil boards like this!!

I need help! I'm losing my wife!
by indireneed inmy wife is becoming a witness and i've found very little that i can do to stop her!
i've tried to show her that the wt does not quote correctly, i've talked to her about past beliefs and i've tried to reason with her about the bible.
but she won't listen!.

I was wondering if you would be posting this news story on your website. Also do you know what his new sentence was and if members of the church were there to testify for him?

We will post the story on our Website next week. Our Website is a week
behind the newspaper coverage. For your information, Beliz was found guilty
on Wednesday. He hasn't been sentenced yet and no members of the church
(with the exception of family members) testified on his behalf during the
trial.
For a quicker source of information, you might want to try the Tri-City
Herald at www.tri-cityherald.com. They are the regional newspaper and have
been covering the trial.

Anybody else had visions?
by philo inwhen i was separating from my wife and leaving the jws, i had some visions.
for some strange reason, i decided not to eat for a day, then when i found my thinking clearer and my emotions mellower, i fasted for another two days.
so after the third day, i was walking down our street and i saw the houses burning after me, i felt this was an affirmation that marriage was decay and destruction, or wasteage.
