  Meeting After Meeting?

  i went to the meeting today with the wife.

  same boring talk and coma inducing wt study but.... after the meeting they called all of the attendants to the back room for a little private meeting.

  anyone have any idea what was going on?

  it has been almost one year since the members of the governing body of jehovahs witnesses resigned as directors of the legal corporations.

  the expressed reason for this change was printed as a special announcement in the january 15, 2001 watchtower, page 31:.

  this decision is beneficial indeed.

  sure they have, they have been able to prepare a special
  meeting the day after the annual meeting

  a blessing indeed.

  i seriously ask this question in light of some ridiculous experiences i have had in recent times.

  a while back,a freind of mine purchased a new home.

  a housewarming party was planned for her.

  as far as your sect statement..it is well known that thing are different in various locations, the scripture of all things are lawful but not all things are beneficial would apply (i know i totally misquoted that script)..recently some missionaries from africa came tp Patterson, the sister had a nose ring, but she took it out here...do you get the jist??...its a matter of how your behavior affects others....if there are not clear scrptural principals or laws that apply..then do what you think you can.

  the elders know of my thinking and i have not made a list of "rules"
  that dont apply to me. I think all the rules apply to me, if i agree with them is a different issue.

  Jehovah's Witnesses and arguing...

  one thing i have noticed, both in my own reportoire of personal habits and in those of others posting on xjw boards, is the tendency to argue.. i contrast this to a few other boards i've frequented on a variety of topics.

  obviously there are disagreements, but xdub boards can get really crazy at times.. there is this tendancy for xjw's to argue like rabid dogs; hell, it's not just the x's who do it, current jw's are just as bad.. this is over and above the normal 'spit on the mat and call the cat a bastard' atmosphere that often prevails on discussion boards (although if you ever want to see a really polite board i suggest you go to a lifestyle bdsmer's board!!)..

  are we all psychos?.

  Bethel Closed Today!

  i had a victim call me after they had called bethel this morning.

  they were informed bethe was offically closed till 1:30 pm for a special meeting with the bethel family.

  would anyone care to speculate or verify the purpose of the meeting?

  nope it was Gilead meal, I asked three different Bethelites in
  various ways. One of them is in his 4th month there and hates it. He has no reason to lie. He is leaving anyway. 'twas gilead meal that cause the extra long recess. Despite what all the conspiracy thinkers may believe. Bethel will never "close" in this manner..think of all
  the tours etc., cant have JW's roaming Montague street with nothing to do.
