by Englishman inwith all of the recent publicity being given to the plight of sexually abused kids, i thought that we shouldn't lose sight of what is an absolute travesty for most sons and daughters of jw parents.
these are kids whose childhoods are ruined, not through sexual abuse, but through criticism and unreasonable demands on behaviour and upon how they perform as "little witnesses".
i well remember how my own once doting parents, suddenly, on becoming converted to the witness religion, became demanding and critical.

i have a screenplay i work on occasionally (a romantic comedy) and a nonfiction book about the area in which i grew up.. i also have a wedding in a year, and we are looking for a house to buy.. so what are y'all working on?.

This may sound silly to some, but I have a project for a lawnmower accesorry. However, I am running into problems with getting it patented. I don't want to go through a company, and spend two or three thousand dollars for them to patent it, especially when I don't have that kind of money.

by Abaddon inokay, let's go along with the flood story for a moment, to the point where noah exits the ark.. here we have noah, with two of each animal and seven of the clean animals; maybe a few dozen animals that were not essential to the future survival of the species.. what does god do?.
tells noah he can eat animals now.. are you telling me an all-wise, all-knowing god isn't capable of better planning than that?
which strikes you as more likely?

I will never forget this statement, till I'm on my death bed, I will never forget this. As a matter of fact, this is the next question I will ask a jw, when they come to my door again.

Johnny Cash and John Ritter have died

i'm not a big johnny cash fan, but he was a cornerstone for the country music industry.. john ritter was a funny guy, i wiil always remember three's company.. they will both be missed.

John Ritter was 54, died of a massive heartattack, he had the attack on the set of his new tv series. Man, can you imagine how the people on the set feel?
