do you think there are 100,000 ex jw or interested to sign?
by carla indo you think there would be 100,000 people willing to sign a petition for the white house to look into the jw pedophile issue in 30 days?.
https://petitions.whitehouse.gov/how-why/step-step-guide.
"after you publish the petition, its up to you to promote it and get others to sign.

Powerful and Damning Awake quote, and questions to help JWs think....
by BU2B injust thought of another question that could start someone waking up.
you could say something to the effect of, "i was thinking how if we were to come across a person in the ministry who asks us how luke 21:8 does not apply to jws in light of the comments such as the ones (quoted below) how could we respond?".
or you could say that someone at work or school presented you with the awake quote and said luke 21:8 proves jws false, then you could say you need help coming up with a response to him.. luke 21:8 .

It seems to me that both BU2B and Sir82 both have valid points. The fact is some things will motivate some people to start thinking, while other things may not stike a chord for that particular person. Limiting yourself to simply arguing from one side of the coin may overlook the trigger to wake someone up. As the old saying goes "different strokes, for different folks'. Don't disregard sharing any TTATT with any individual willing to hear.

Is it a dis enfranchising offense....?
by RunAsFastAsYouCan ini want to get my mother in law dis enfranchised:.
1. for teaching and encouraging my children to dis respect me (their father) in my own house over a 4 year period while living at my house.. 2. for refusing to allow me (in my own house) to practice my own religion with my duaghters while she stayed in my house for nearly 4 years.. 3. for attending my childs 5th birthday party, on her birthday, at chuckie cheese, and then disrespecing the family by refusing to sit at the table with us to eat, but facing away from us at the table next to us.. 4. for constant and relentless ambient abuse and gaslighting of self in my own house over a 4 year period.. 5. for refusing to return to the philipines (her family) after multiple demands to leave our residence over a 4 year period.. 6. for refusing to abstain from teaching her jw crap to my children in my house despite my repeated demands to stop.. i could go on but you get the point.. not that it matters but my primary motive is to get my kids one step further removed from this pos cult..

steve2---you are absolutely right. Thats how I saw it for over 30 years.....then I got the guts to break free....really: "Free at last, free at last. Thank God Almighty, free at last". (Great quote MLK)......I have since risen each day without the thought "I wonder if today will be the day I make my last"; what a blessed relief.
To all who are suffering depression and may have run the gamut of drugs and counseling only to find nothing works: take the big step of dumpng JW's with all their duplicitous lies and deceptions, un-Bublical demands, guilt that you never have done and never will do enough, and all the other mind boggling drivel that tears your mind from your heart. Becuase until your mind and heart agree and are happy, your depression will continue. And it will get worse until you are ready to end it all because death seems like such a blessed release compared to going on as a zombie Jehovah's Witness without an authentic thought or feeling in your mind or heart.

The most disturbing Watchtower quote in 2013.
by never a jw ini am trying to put together the worst of 2013. the first quote that comes to mind is possibly your "favorite" too.
do you have any other disturbing quotes from the publications in the wt?.
elders who are reading this article can draw some useful conclusions from the account we have just considered: (1) the most practical step that we can take to prepare for the coming attack of the assyrian is that of strengthening our faith in god and helping our brothers to do the same.

Who is the faithful and discreet slave?
by wearewatchingyouman inwhen i discuss things with my father regarding whether a governing body is needed for christians one theme that is constant with him is "if it's not the gb who is the faithful and discreet slave - who else is giving food in these days to god's people?".
i've been working on a response to this for the last couple of months and am just curious as to who christians who are ex-witnesses interpret the faithful and discreet slave to be, and the parable in general.. .
i guess i'm just looking to round out my argument and have a few different angles.

My 2c : Jesus was and is the faithful and discreet slave. He was while on earth and continues to be in heaven. He can direct organizations if he chooses (ssems like not-so-much right now), or he can direct people or smaller groups. "Where 2 or 3 are gathered in my name".....

hahaha, what a bunch of horse s**t double-talk in WT stupidesse. "We understand" as mentioned in paragrapgh 15 means "us guys with our heads so far up where the sun doesn't shine that we can't breathe". Their oxygen deprived brains have absorbed the main ingredient of where they have firmly inserted their heads, and thus the un-intelligable double talk 'new light'. Where the hell does the Bible say Jesus was talking about "2 groups of annointed Christians"? Consider the other Bible advice "Do not go beyond the things written".....or maybe the promises of what will happen to any who decide to add to, or take away from God's word as recored at the end of Revelation. Geeeeeeeeez.

Why do so many think JW Religion is a Cult? (NO APOSTATES PLEASE)
by Brother Mike inmy question is, why do so many think the watchtower bible tract society is a cult?

Hi Mike, I can't speak for everyone here, just myself. My only desire for JW's is that they know what they are really involved in.Learn what goes on behind the scenes....I was a Dub for 50+ years; M.S., Elder, Book Study Conductor, TMS overseer, performed funerals, and just generally did everything a good JW brother would/should do. Then in 2002 I heard rumblings about the WT and the U.N. having some sort of relationship. I buried it for 5 years, but finally researched it, wrote to Brooklyn about it, and eventually found that I had been decieved, lied to, and duped about much more than just the U.N. --by the folks I trusted like family: The Jehovah's Witnesses and The Watchtower Society. OK, so now I know. Find out for yourself. Research it and every doubt or question you have. Do your diligence and then, trust your gut feelings. Just don't blunder along blindly anymore... Then, if you decide you still want to be a Jehovah's Witness, by all means, do so. With my (and probably plenty of other JW-N members) blessings. Just don't be ignorant of the facts, and know right now, the JW's aren't going to disclose anything. YOU, my friend, must find it out for yourself. This is a fine place to start.

Have you looked up 'cult'in a dictionary? When I did, I noticed the only thing that differentiated JW's from a cult was that they have 8 leaders --the Governing Body-- instead of one. Other than that Jehovh's Witnesses and their legal arm The Watchtower Bible and Tract Society, fit squarely into the definition of "cult": their own "language", secret books (Shepherd the Flock of God in your Care" for elders ONLY), no financial statements made available to the public, standing hard and fast on rules even if they are not for the good of the majority (the 2-witness rule)......the list goes on ad infinitum.
