it's still a hell of a lot cheaper in the states than the UK, a new copy is about £60 here (not sure what that is in $) and it was over £100 on ebay when I looked before.

Starting to read Crisis of Conscience....
by confuzzled777 inafter almost 2 years of being wrongfully disfellowshipped and over a year after finding this site....i am starting to read crisis of conscience.
i will not lie....i am a bit nervous as to what information i will find in the book.
i have a strong feeling that i will end up crying through most of it as i will start to see the truth about the "truth".

by diamondiiz ini haven't researched this but do library have copies of this book?
did you ever look for coc or any other book in a local library when you were a believer or when you began to have doubts?

I'd be happy to buy it from you, then stick it in the library when I'm done. no problem though if you'd rather not.

It looks quite cheap here for those of you in the states. It's also on amazon.com for 14 dollars plus postage.

An absolute must read. I was frightened too about reading it but it was a weight off my shoulders when I read it.
Ive only read the PDF, I'd much rather have the actual book in my hands, still the PDF on the iPad is nearly as good to read.

Although I wasnt an elder, I did go to a shepherding visit with an elder to a family of four (also an ex elder and I felt completely out of my depth). The elder told me the 3 verses he planned on using before hand but after 5 mins it was clearly apparent there was a problem.
One of the sons said he no longer believed, he just didnt feel it was the truth. The elder got really hacked off and was really annoyed 'what more proof do you want?' he asked.
Suffice to say he still carried on and used the very same 3 verses he planned to use, even though now they were meaningless. When we left he told me how annoyed he was at the silly boy for not believing it anymore.
