ONE year ago!
by Vivamus inwow, today i suddenly realized just what day it was.
exactly one year ago, i decided i was no longer willing to be a witness.
january 17, 2002 was the first day i stopped praying to a god i no longer had any faith in.

my dad died
by termite 35 indear everyone, my dad died suddenly and unexpectedly at the weekend.he did'nt turn up for a family dinner and my husband and i went to see if he was ok.he was dead.collapsed in his home.i can't stop shaking and i feel really sick.i've lost my mum and now my dad too.i wish i could sleep for months and wake when the pain has finished with me.
it hurts so much .sorry to bring everyone down-but i'm stressed at having to sort out his arrangements due to the autopsy and funeral etc and the house and my feelings.
; i just wanted to tell you all as my husband's gone for a walk and the children are asleep and i'm feeling scared about viewing his body, but i know i'll have to and i feel guilty for feeling like that.stupid thoughts racing through my mind at the moment-need to 'hear' a friendly voice .

SUV'S Owners Support Terrorists!
by pettygrudger inyep, new campaign ad's on tv basically links the owning of an suv to the need for lots of gas, to that money going to countries that supply that gas, to the terrorists who get funding from those same countries.. so, based on this - what kind of car do you drive?
do you think that we american's have a moral or ethical responsibility to self-reduce our need for oil, and reduce just in general all the "materialistic" things in life to which we feel entitled?.
i drive a geo prizm - 35 mpg - because of our environment (and plus i'm just a cheap ass!

Did you throw your meeting clothes out?
by sleepy injust been clearing some space in my house and deciding what to get rid of.i have a whole rack of "meeting clothes" shirts , suits ties etc that i have never worn since i left.i kept a few shirts and a couple of suits just in case i need them sometime.what a load of money those clothes most have cost me.one extra good reason for leaving, and think of all those dry cleaning bills you'll miss as well.bad luck if you work in an office.

most of em. but the ones i kept i cut up for excellent oil rags. the old suits are cool for laying on the driveway to collect oil drips from my 69 valient.

Too close to home
by JH inwhen you were going from door to door, did you hate knocking at doors in your neighbourhood?
i wonder if the elders did on purpose to distribute territories so that you would have to be working in your neighbourhood.. often i noticed that elders gave me a territory in my neighbourhood, just to see if i would be ill at ease.
maybe they wanted to know if i had worldly friends in my neighbourhood.

I remember one time we were calling on apartments in my neighborhood. these apt.s were seperated by a cple. of chain link fences to a field and just beyond the field was my house.well i had to ride the school bus with these people and it was a saturday. almost certain they would be home. so i went out in the territory with them and as soon as i went to a door i recognised i knocked so gently that the elder with me just pounded on the door. well needless to say they guy i went to school with was there.i eeked out a lil presentation(so embarising),(sp).well when we left that building we met up with some late comers,so as the elder was assigning them what part of the complex to work. i did an about face and high tailed it home.man i hated field service, even more so in my own neighborhood.
