  Two years ago, my sister was pregnant. It was great that she and her MS husband were socializing with me and my husband. Our relationship was really establishing. During her entire pregnancy, I was there to help console both of them because they were having problems with my JW mother. Well, my sister had promised me that I could go see her deliver the baby. As the time got closer, (two weeks prior to delivery) my sister phonecalled me and stated that I couldn't go to the hospital because there were going to be other JW's there. (BTW, she wanted me there to throw my mother out of the hospital). Anyhoo...she promised again that she would call me after the delivery of the child. That never came to be. Why I was surprised, I don't know. I should have expected it.

  So time goes by, she stays in contact with my other ex-jw siblings. She told them that I "understood" why they had to shun me and that I was completely understanding.

  Well, this past February, I wrote them a 12 page letter. My ex-jw sister calls me last month. She advised me that the husband, the MS, had stepped down from his position. He advised her that he was really disturbed by the letter. He said that my mother, who is a pedophile-pioneer, never was allowed to touch their daughter. He was asking if the other siblings would testify against my mother in a judicial hearing. Lo and behold, the elders would not accept testimony from any d'fd, d'ad or other ex-witness of my family.

  Well..I know this isn't probably a big deal to others, but it was to me. Knowing that this letter has been bothering him for the past three months, and the turn down that he has gotten from the elders, I am going to tape tonite's episode of Dateline and mail it to them.

  I am praying that they finally wake up about this issue. BTW, I was fortunate to escape the sexual abuse from my mother. I am hoping that this Dateline episode really helps those that have been abused to realize they are not alone. And wake people up that the witnesses coming to their doors aren't so innocent.

  anyone know what offspring song jw's were warned against listening to???

  i vaguely remember it was on their 'smash' album (it's either the song that goes "..demons in my head.." or the one called genocide).

  I just bought the Compaq iPAQ, Pocket PC. I LOVE it! I usually hate compaq, but this is an exception. It has pocket excel and pocket word. It's also cool because you can transcribe handwritten words for text. The color screen also lights up brighter then any others. Since I use it for work in the dark for the most part, that helps me out extremely.

  Any Pocket PC usually will run you upwards to $600-$800. The iPAQ costed me $500.00

  Palm Pilots are also cool, but I like the ability to syncronize my Microsoft Outlook.

  My mom's circuit was disbanded

  well, i found out yesterday that the circuit that my mother attends will cease to exist as of this summer.

  the circuit has existed pretty much since the beginning of time.

  due to low attendance, and gradual drying up of all jw's in rural saskatchewan, they are closing one or two congregations every year.

  She has been on his shows. I don't know if she has ever posted here. You can go to his website http://www.johnankerberg.org/ . If you search under JW's, you will find that they sell several tapes with interviews of multiple people.

  instead of turning in your letter of disassociation to the local kingdom hall you wrote and turned your letter in to the local newspaper.

  besides you made a public baptism, why not make a public unbaptism?

  hey all..... i recently heard the funniest prank..... a neighbour of mine came over, with a beer i might add.... nice fellow... and during conversation found out that i used to be a witness... he was asking me questions and then he got this funny smirk on his face... i thought it was something i said, so i asked him what i did.... he started laughing and said he was just remembering what he and a friend did about three years ago around christmas time..... i had been out of the borg for over a year at that point.... apparently, these two pranksters... of course whilst drinking deeply of the barley and hops laden waters of life.... went to a canadian tire, bought $75 worth of christmas lights (about $5 usd...lol) and in the wee hours of a sunday morning... put them up around my old kh and lit them up for all to see when they came in for the 10 am meeting..... i asked around and apparently it's true!

  oh my god.. that is hilarious... I can just imagine that. Someone needs to stick a christmas tree and nativity scene out on the front lawn area. LOL
