I don’t believe there is anything that states, in the US anyway, that an organization must provide shelters and other social programs to qualify for tax exemption. That would be overt discrimination as not all charitable organization provides the same type of services, nor are they all the same.

Well, you’re partially correct, dubby. They don’t have any social programs that help people in that regard.
They do not need them. Jws take care of themselves and each other. They only require the organization for their religious doctrine/training.
Why do you want them depending on the org for sustenance?

I actually am entertained. Quite honestly, it is fascinating to me how alleged long-time ex-jws don’t appear (or at least play dumb to scare the public) to understand basic stuff all of a sudden.

Now, to address why WT doesn’t go get govt money to offer social service is because (1) they don’t need it, and (2) they are not a social service organization or have any social services arms.
That’s like asking why doesn’t the Red Cross go get govt funding to open bloodless surgery hospitals.
That’s not what they do.

I did not say that taking government money was wrong. I was simply saying that taking government money, and opening social programs with that money, doesn’t make you charitable.

For those trying to prop up the Mormons and SDAs for their alleged giving back, it stands to reason that social programs are being funded by the government, not tithes:
