Thank you for all the postings about Brother Knorr! By the response and by the lack of his name being mentioned by the WatchTower and Awake, it makes sense, he was not loved the way Russell and Rutherford were. Most of the old timers, never mention a thing about Brother Knorr nor his expansionist agenda. "Without Love, we are all nothing but a clashing noise!" my paraphrase of Apostle Pauls words. Thank you again for taking the time, I am not the only one who wonders about him.

by AvocadoJake inbrother knorr is rarely mentioned in the awake or watchtower and i don't really know much about him.

I am too new to remember who he is and what he did for the Organization. As always, thank you for taking the time to respond with your insights!

Since these issues are alive and we all, I would say they were resuscitated because we are still plagued by these bad men who down play what is wicked. What would you do if, you had a internet troll who follows what you say and follows you around in life? There are no worse men than those who have been removed for child molestation and tell the public ( I stepped down because I was tired)"I am taking a breather but I will be a elder again to serve you." a lie why they were removed. Those who blame the innocent children for "making me suduce you, putting Satanic thoughts into my head, I did not enjoy the sex because I felt guilty, so it is your fault." These are the fools some of us interact with on Wedsdays and Sundays depending on which night you meet for the spiritual encouragement.

"Life is Short" how do you deal with having a pedophile in your midst? Was it proved, he was a indecent fellow or is it just part of the rumor mill?
Did you BOE warn you about the tendencies and likes of the him? Is the BOE keeping his indentity a big secret to protect him? I find it odd that, a pedophile which according to most psychological studies, has close to a zero chance of changing their ways. There are so big studies done, that prove we need to have child sex offenders on a list for public notice. Yet there are situations that are wrong and overkill. For example "A boy who turned 18 has sex with a girl who is 17 years old. He gets convicted and put on the national sex offender list, he marries the girl he had sex with. They have been married for 15 years with three kids, and he is still on the list." This is a real case in Texas that is trying to be overturned, and hopefully will be for the sake of justice. -

I grew up with a fear of death, I have those to thank who asked "You are being a good little boy Jake? You don't want to be fodder for the birds do you?" I finally got over my fear when, I started to party with some crazy men and women in the late 1980s. Do you remember the book "Paradise Lost and Paradise regained?" and those wonderful portraits of kids being offered up to the false god Molech? Nice book to show your four year old, nice bed-time story book, makes you feel scared and you end up in Mom and Dad's bed, a nervous wreck. I am careful with my 6 and 10 year old, and what they read and listen to. When some whacko says something like you posted above, my kids have learned to accept, they have either dementia, or might be on some medication that is causing some social ineptness!

I heard one fool say, the "child molesting that took place, was nothing more than playing doctor!" the boy being 19 years old and the girl being only 7 years old, what a brilliant elder this man is. To look me in the face and say, "they were just playing doctor and it was consenual." it took two men to pull me off this fool. I guess I was lucky, this man was too much of a coward to report me.

Hello All!
I do have a JW background, I am not DF'ed or DA'ed but have taken a vacation from the guilt and never ending "You can do more if you just try!" I am tired of hearing about how loving and spirit appointed the elders are, when I have seen the deepest dark side of many of them. As for my background, I learned from a very tender age, if I was not good, "You will be part of the Buzzard's evening meal, when all the corpses are lined up on the ground!" The November Watchtower of this month has a strange article about those who decide to leave the Organization. Some indivudal in England actually called the police and has been trying to get "Hate Crime" charges against the Society. I am frustrated with those in charge, those who fail to implement what Jesus Christ said to do. My brother was going to meetings in the 1990s with my mother and soon stopped going. No elder from his Hall ever stopped by to see what was going on. This young man who attended meeting from the age of 8 to 17, who commented and was on in the school, stopped going to meetings. No elder or individual ever went to check on this potential convert! The elders were always quick to stop by all the drunks to pass out magazines or spend time driving in circles looking for nothing to do! For those of you who have stopped going to meetings, I can tell you, those in charge are doing a much better job than you are here. This is what I mean by that statement, they don't spend time with the father-less boys or orphans. When these young ones stop attending meetings, those pillars of strenght scratch their heads and say "Oh those kids were weak. Let's go to Starbucks and get a donut, we can count our time if we have a tract sticking out of our pocket. After Starbucks we can go see how Pot-head Phil is doing, we have only called on him, six times this week." The Society has no idea what is going on, they don't see their own men, are destroying the faith of those who don't have connections in the Hall. As for me, i receive the slaps on my back for all the research I do. Remember, most don't even read the magazines and all the books they receive! Sorry if I am rambling too much!

The Faithful and Discreet Slave - A JW Myth
by 00DAD inprobably this topic has been dealt with before, but i'm relatively new here, so perhaps y'all will be willing to indulge me in my pursuit for clarity.
regarding the anointed, the gb recently said this: .
"we thus have no way of knowing the exact number of anointed ones on earth; nor do we need to know.

Hi "Compoundcomplex"
I don't know much about Brother Knorr and his qualities. Did he oppose the date fixing for the "End Times"?
Did he tell Frantz to back off of trying to figure out, what Jesus said was reserved only for the Father? (Acts 1)
Does anyone know much about Brother Knorr, he appears to be the silent president you rarely read about in the WT or
any other book. Rusell and Rutherford come up frequently but we never read much about brother Knorr. Are there any mature
ones here who remember him? I would love to learn more about him. Thank you!

Many of the fundamental churches are telling their flocks to avoid using credit cards in attempt to rein in their debt. Credit Card debt is the biggest burden, the poor and middle class are struggling to battle. It might be Malcom Gladwell who wrote the brain is more quick, to stop you from using that fifty dollar bill in your pocket, your wife might have gave you on payday. That fifty dollar bill, can become like a friend to you, the credit card does not have the same emotional effect on you. In fact the credit card can be slid without you even caring. You might be able to slid that card ten times ($500 bucks) and not even flinch! Once you break that fifty at your local Starbucks, you feel like you lost a friend. Malcom Gladwell's point was this, use cash and not credit cards to pay for your goods. Using a credit card, give you a false sense of wealth and the Bible tell's us to not be a debtor! I never would have thought we would be using a credit card system at the Kingdom Hall. What next, money changing in the back room? This scares me, that we would be bringing in E-commericalism into the Kingdom Halls or Meeting Halls. I am scared my friend!

Hello, I am new and sighed up last night! Please, would anyone like to tell me, what this magazine is trying to say? What about the men and women in the Halls that have mental illness? If the generalizaton made by the magazine is correct, paraphrased "all apostates are mentally ill." "blogging on the internet is evil." does that mean the huge amount of JWs attending meetings, going out in service, who suffer from mental illness are apostates? There is no logic to the statment made in the magazine. "If you disagree with the Society, you must be sick, if you are sick, your diagnosis is insanity." I thought the magazine was wrong, using ad hominen attacks is so junior high!
