here is my situation: my fiance is now 27 years old.

he was raised as a jw from the age of 2 through 18. at that time, his whole family left the "truth" except for his older brother who had already married another woman from the faith.

for the past 9 years, he has been living his life to the fullest, but still loving god, praying often and he is a truly honest and moral person.

it is not strictly "forbidden" for a JW to mary an outsider. I had to resign from diferent "privileges". But since she was studiyng I was seen as a victim of my feelings. I showed the elders that i felt bad about that situation even I loved my wife. Theu were VERY comprehensive and (since the situation could not be changed any more) they assumed a position like "go for it, be a good husband, you may convince her". I remember sometimes she was disappointed with me saying that when I showed regrets of our non-ortodox relationship I was bertaying her someway. But she was very patient always believing in my true feelings...
At last, just a few years after marriage I was invited to get back old "priviledges" and the Circuit Overseer came at my house with an elder giving me advice to do some more field service, I was an example for others (since i always told to young fellows NOT do do the same thing "listen I MARRIED that way, so I know better, marry just in the Lord my friend"- imagin THAT!!)and if I could improve my field service Jehovah for sure would need me as an elder in my cong...
Guess what... I liked that. The Watchtower Society could have the proper name: CLOSED Watchtower Society. My marriage somehow was an aid to open my eyes even years later. From your original Post I make the reading that You fiancee has walked down a good part of that road before. Stick to him, for a while. He can mail me, if he wants. Tell him I continue to be known as JW so I can reach some family members before being silenced by DFment.

Dear Concerned,
some friends here told you there opinion that your fiancee is not worth to have your love since he is ready to choose his religion instead of you.
Well, that would mean, that my wife (a non JW) should have thrown me away years ago. But she didn't. Today we have beautifull children and my still non JW wife has a brandnew husband:me, after reading posts over a few months and reading and re-reading the Observer and freeminds as some others. Bring him to this places.
I do thank God that my wife was so patient. Try it the same way- (We also cried together so many times, everyone thinkink the other was a victim...she was right...)

a few days ago I sent a letter to a branch office, asking them to assure me that this UNO stuff isn't true at all.(Please bros, please save my faith, tell me it isn't true...).

2000---the end?

i recently heard something about a 1989 prediction that armageddon would be all over by 2000. apparently this was printed in one of the wt's and the wording was changed to something a little less specific in the yearbook.

can someone help me out with the details on this?

Yeah,
and someone told me they also changed the printed volumes!!

But not in all languages. The port. version of the CD Rom was NOT changed.

Could You all check if this changements were maid in other languages, too?

ok.......this year marks the 10th annniversary when the wts unleashed the "pay attention to the flock" book a.k.a the top secret elder manual.

in honor of that milestone i'll post some memorable gems from what is now the modern-day holy grail.....(parenthetical comments are mine)........ sexual misconduct, including; adultery, fornication, and other forms of "por.ne'a..": .

Dear friends,
I'm new at this place. But for the last few month's I've been a regular visitor and reader. Today I am no more a JW in my heart. In less than 3 months a lifetimes faith, and some years ago even my most precious career, suddenly proved to be a big nothing. As many of yoy know personally, it was and it is hard to digest. So today I want to acknowlege You all for the hard work many of you are doing in collecting all this precious little peaces of (real) truth and to publish them in Your sites, or discuss them here on this board. A part of me still do not believe that I am writing this words. However, thank u all very much for your great help you are giving to those who are opressed, even if most of them do not know today how thankfull they should be to the so-called "apostates". From now on it'll be my goal to reach my friends and relatives hearts with the truth about "the truth". To do that I have to remain recognized as one of JW. Hard game that will be! I'm not well-prepared for such a master-fake...! What could be really usefull for my purpose is: rumors and facts about JW and money. Scandals about child molestation, GB members and so on. If some of You know where to find electronically stored old WTS-Publications (specially after Russel's time; in english or german) I would apreciate your answers. I'll finnish this post with a huge STANDING OVATION to all of You!!!
