Yes Judgerusselford, I agree. They fit the passages of Revelation in to suit their interpretation. But the seven seals are first, followed by the seven trumpet blasts and then comes the seven bowels of plague. Towards the end of the plagues, the kings of the earth prepare for Armageddon. Then their cities are destroyed and lastly is the turn of Babylon the Great. They place the destruction of Babylon at the beginning of the tribulation.

Judgerussellford, according to Revelation chronology the transfiguration would be a future occurrence when Jesus comes in kingly power. The disciples thought they were Moses and Elijah but Jesus did not confirm their assumption. Because of not being named and being a part of the 144000, it is more realistic to believe that they would display the spirit of Moses and Elijah. Malachi prophesied that Elijah would come. Jesus named John the Baptist as being this Elijah. But he did not say that an Elijah figure would not come again.
Dropoffyourkeylee, that is similar to Seventh Day Adventist teaching. They view the two witnesses as representing the Law (Moses) and the Prophets (Elijah).

Scholar's interpretation, although interesting, can easily be disproved by referencing JW theology:
1) The two anointed prophets, members of the 144000, are to be sealed after the breaking of the sixth seal, a future event.
2) If the 42 months of the trampling are to run concurrently with the 1260 days of preaching, starting in October 1914, three and a half years from there would bring one to March 1918. Federal warrants for the arrest of Rutherford and company were issued May 7, 1918.
3) According to the general chronology of Daniel and Revelation the two prophets will be appearing towards the middle of the Tribulation, after the sixth trumpet blast.
4) Beast from the abyss was created in 1945, after the Second World War had ended. Coming out of the abyss means it has become active, also a future event.

The Genesis 3:15 woman.
by Fisherman ingenesis 3:15 says that the woman’s seed would be in enmity with the serpent’s seed.
although the bible reveals that the woman’s seed is jesus and christians that go to heaven with christ, it does not identify the woman directly.
we at jw believe that the woman is symbolic.

BoogerMan, I think Rev. 12:17 might be referring to Christianity as a whole.
17 And the dragon was angry against the woman: and went to make war with the rest of her seed, who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

Yes TonusOH. That seems to be the case. In the past God viewed Israel as His wife. She became unfaithful by pursuing other gods. This Hosea had to reenact in real life. Paul explains it in Gal. 3, using the drama of Abraham, Sarah and Hagar as demonstration. I believe this is to be the woman of Rev. 12. Quite a few commentators view her son as Jesus, but I think the Society is closer to the truth with him symbolizing the kingdom or more specifically, the conceptualization of the kingdom. This fits in with Satan's seed, being his following as a whole, at least a third of the angels, and of course his earthly followers.

Jesus is Michael the Archangel
by Fisherman inonly jesus has the power and authority to defeat satan and kick him out of heaven:.
“now have come to pass the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our god and the authority of his christ, because the accuser of our brothers has been hurled down, who accuses them day and night before our god.”.

Agreed. Same position. Same job description. Jesus = Michael.

If you join a religion, they will tell you what to believe. First find out what you want to believe, then look for a fit out there, if that's at all possible.

I agree with Fisherman. I also think it's possible. Here's an interesting scenario, pure speculation, though:
Babylon the Great would be destroyed by her paramours, the kings of the earth (Rev. 17:15-18). The most effective way to orchestrate her downfall would be for God to leave all churches, cathedrals, temples and mosques intact after the mega-quake, destroying their cities. This will be enraging the surviving nations to such an extent that they launch an all out attack on organized religion in order to wipe it from the face of the earth. By destroying the divisive man-made religious organizations they will be imagining that they have attacked God. However, their only achievement would be to fulfil Bible prophecy (Rev. 16:18, 19a).
