Just wondering if that book made anyone think about God in the bad light? It seems to me after thinking about it that it was God who was all in all responsible for Jobs suffering. Satan was only the vessel but at the end of the day it was because of God Job has been suffering and what is worse it was also him who was feeling sorry and repentat for something that he didn't do? Doesn't God seem like a bit of a dick? Or a big kid with an ants farm and a magnifying glass?

been to the meeting yesterday... haven't for a while but yet... no one came up to ask or anything like that.
have got a visit from two elders coming soon so that should be fun.

Sitting... waiting for the elders... Hate this. Prepared for the study but knowing it is only gonna take 20 minutes... Just wondering what they want... again. And thanks for that. Usually am quite controlled but there is a lot of things I would want to say to them... here comes nothing!

Oh no don't worry about that. Always had friends both in the truth and in the world. Plus always have been a bit of a lone wolf :D but it is nice to have some support. Like here ;)

hiya and... i do not really know where to begin... currently a jw... slightly starting to fade... got a girlfriend baptised... i am baptised also... my head is a mess... i do not know what to believe anymore... never really fully trusted elders as it comes to 'leading the flock'... got burned a few times with their ... decisions etc.
read a few articles in here about their alleged false beliefs... do not really know what to do... wondered if any of you felt like that at any point... when something that you trusted and followed most of your life... does not seem to be what you thought it was... .

Right... so just to give a summery of everything...
I was brought up as a JW... never wanted to get baptized but did anyway couple of months ago. Had a few bad experiences with the elders ( once was ill for about 2 and a half months - no one called, was interested but an elder approached me at the meeting when I finally was able to turn up at the KH and asked me why I haven't put in any hours in the ministry... pathetic). For some reason I viewed it as the truth and that maybe finally I will really get into it... but also for some reason I felt sometimes like I was in a cult... Currently kinda stopped going to the meetings... blaming work for that and elders think I am going to my girlfriends congregation... Can't face going to meetings to be honest... but now motivating myself to do RESEARCH as everyone suggested :) Thank you all for kind words :)

Thank you all for your replies and both motivation and support from all of you. Currently I am in a place where... I can not even bring myself to go to meetings or even continue with a study that an elder has with me. All I seem to be discovering about JW is making me slightly more depressed and annoyed at the same time... but yet I can not shake that feeling that maybe satan is fooling me by all this? I know it is irrational but after all these years and heavy imprinting what else to expect. So both annoyed and disappointed with myself and JW...!

That is the thing... I remember once someone telling me about school... that school 'kills imagination because you learn answers to questions' but it seems the same about Jehovahs Witnesses... I am planning to do some research but it seems very... not upsetting but... medival? accept everything, question nothing and we will let you live... Not worried about family or friends. I know that my parents will accept my choice... whatever I do. My girlfriend... well it's up to her... as much as I would want to be with her if it is not something that she would like to continue I am ok with it but it is just soo.... much? I do not mean to sound dramatic but it is almost like part of your world has / is falling apart... is it not?
