I used to hang out in the corridors with all the other teens wearing too much makeup and sun dresses. Usually there was going to be a party somewhere and , everyone's job was to locate it and spread the world.

TV Converter Box Choice?

I have version fios . They just sent me a converter box. I have 2 TV's and one is not hooked to fios - it has" rabbit ears." so we are putting it on the converter box. due to the TV's location it can't be hooked to fios. i want a backup box even if we are on fios .

Witness fear of demons why?
by donny induring my ten year sojourn through the watchtower, i was always amazed at the witnesses fear and fascination with demons.
occasionally at gatherings, they would exchange "demon" stories, which were just a jw way of telling ghost stories, and you would usually hear a few "uhhs" and "oh my's" as the story was told.
although i had heard folks of other denominations mention demons, it was never with the "shock and awe" the witnesses put into it.

once while in FS, I ( and others ) noted that the wind kept picking up a lot when I'd get to a door. It would blow the pamphlets etc off the doors. I noticed it but it seemed to scare the h*ll out of the car group. People were afraid to sit by me.
so i guess my demon was the wind, and the wind was with me that day. lol
bet someone is telling that story even now
so true, Fundy Churches use hell to keep people in line. jws use the big A and demons but mostly they use the fear of shunning. that works better than any demons.

What is your strangest "supernatural" JW story?
by donny ini had just became a witness and a guy i worked with, who was also a jw, told me a story that actually made me laugh and i think it upset him a bit.
the storys were almost always in the third person.
it went as follows.. this brothers wife and him were sitting at the kingdom hall on the end seats of the row next to the back of the room.

Hi Yiz,
I am glad you drop in from time to time, there are still many of us here who remember you. I recall when you lost your home and were living in a shelter. It has not been easy for you or your wife. I have thought of you often even though we have never met. I will offer a prayer for your wife and for you .
Avandia has been linked clearly with heart failure. avapro is supposed to be a very safe, kidney friendly blood pressure drug for people who have diabetes. I take it myself. I guess when you only have 9% of kidney function left nothing is very safe.

You know who I pray to? Joe Pesci. Two reasons: First of all, I think he's a good actor, okay? To me, that counts. Second, he looks like a guy who can get things done. Joe Pesci doesn't **** around. In fact, Joe Pesci came through on a couple of things that God was having trouble with.
