  i typed "ray franz" into my wt cd library.

  this is what was in the kingdom ministry of august, 1980:.

  The announcement was mostly ignored as unimportant, no disfellowship was announced. Sure they did not want to create too much curiosity, but their intention was fianally revealed.

  I personally heard the Ray had died in car accident. Later Ray had to confirm that the "news about my death were exaggerated"

  Those who knew Ray, such as my family, did comment the incident behind doors.

  To throw some dirt it was commented behind doors that he covered the "actions" of some homosexual and child molesters GB MEMBERS.

  Those homosexual GB MEMBERS were later shipped out of Brooklyn, as rumors started to circulate in the open, but NEVER disfellowshiped.

  Since Franz did not advertise his CoC book, The book is mostly unknown among jw.

  Anyone can do a favor mailing the book (holyday gift?) to a few who you care, but still dont know what went on.

  Better yet just mail a photocopy of some of those WT letters (real evidence) included in the book. They wont be able to suspect anything. It is a photocopy of an OFFICIAL letter from mother.

  Mail it from Brooklyn, AND the sender.could be anyone you can think about, many funny possibilities..

  Franz was disfellowshipped for the "unlawful activity" of having lunch with his employer, Peter Gregerson, who was disassociated.

  Mr. Gregerson, a supermarket owner, also had lunch with several other jw employees around that time but WT did nothing about it. Did you say consistency.?

  Are people intrinsically good or bad?

  one of the things we were constantly taught as jws was that the vast majority of the world are intrinsically bad; wicked enough to warrant destruction at armageddon.. last xmas, a film "love actually" (sentimental tat really but who says we don't need sentimentality occasionally) was based on the idea that everywhere people are in love and being loved.

  also, a couple of tv documentaries shown recently in uk, michael palin's 'himalaya' and ewan mcgregor's 'long way round' had these intrepid travellers visiting remote corners of the earth.

  it was striking just how friendly and helpful people can be to strangers.

  quoting quotes would complicate or strech the issue much longer than desired; my head is spining at this late hour..

  generally speaking humans are not happy with what other humans have been doing for a long time, specially what those with power do. Please dont ask me to define hapiness, i am traying to prevent phylosophical and semantic argumentation.

  Simply speaking, if the majority is not happy..

  then what has been done is BAD generally speaking. That is what i call empiric results.

  So due to the humans intrinsic state of mind, the net result of human activity is not satisfactory, unhapiness.

  Based in such reality, no satisfaction unhapiness, is why the WT and other religions have survived.

  You state that "and the db environment is a difficult place to exchange thoughts",

  i cant think of a better way, at least to clarify without interruption, all deep court cases are resolved in writting, ask the supreme court. Laws have a section to define all terms utilized, preventing individual interpretations. All good judges denife the issues before judgment. .

  In this topic defining the issue and the terminology (such as intrinsic) was/is neccesary, it was not done in this case and the majority of the topics.

  Lastly i did not see a response to a simple argumet stated by Perry, (in plain english would be best).

  anyone know what the latest thoughts are on employing a d/fellowshipped person.

  isnt it against ceasers law to discriminate against one for religious reasons?

  I Need Some Serious Help Please !!!!!!

  first of all, i am not a jw and i never will be, for my own reasons that i need not discuss further.

  however, i have a brother who is a jw and there is a serious problem that he is struggling with, which pertains to his horrible marriage, abusive wife, divorce and being "kicked out" of jw as a member... or whatever jw's call it.

  he has been married to a woman for 22 years.

  "I can not seem to say or come up with any logic that will convince my brother to leave her or..." ...

  BTW

  Either your brother is a true jw or is afraid that if separated or divorced wont get any...and put up with the situation. You asked for help, what do you have to say about my last post?

  Even if you dont find a jw written policy. She/he or any reasonable person knew what she/he was getting into before becoming jw AND usa courts wont touch religions, until now.

  "all scripture is inspired by god".

  when this was written, was it referring to the ot only, or did it refer to the nt as well which hadn't yet been compiled?

  did paul know that the letters he was writing would form the nt bible cannon?

  not that i have read the link completely but, ancient writtings styles could identify the writer easier than modern wirters, imo.

  Now with computers programs you could analyse ancient writtings and....and make some conclusions.

  But before the reader jump into conclusions it would be good to "analyse" if the user of the computer program had any bias, just in case. Adn if more than one scholar from differente backgrounds agree. What is known about those scholars?

  Some bipolars KNOW who they can attack and when to make a "mistake" without major consecuencies..

  he can divorce remarriy AND stay jw in good standing IF her wife commited adultery. With the kind of treatment he is receiving...

  Some set up the conditions for ADUlteRY to happen... a volunteer is needed, as they know fully well tehir mate has the inclination or has done it before, but innocent mate has no witness.. Since the wife is not a jw elders do no have to interview her to confirm.
