this might seem like a funny question to ask but my mom told me that "apostates" are addicted to jw-bashing and cannot let it go and have a life.

she said that we get up thinking about jw-bashing and go to sleep thinking about jw-bashing just like a drug addict.

anything above that, after x so many years, will have to be explained or rationalized to me by a professional
btw we are talking about XJW, who "seem" to know better than anybody else, usually come here to tell everyone how wrong jw and behave..

magazine is to be issued just once a month from january 2006, now is an apt time for interested parties to share brief memories and/or impressions about the bi-monthly awake!

I was impressed by an article, many years ago, explaining how a CD works, in simple terms. At that time many "technical" people and engineers, had no clue.
Of course CD now are recorded using a better technology but emplying the same photonic principle,

can anyone tell me if the organization believes that when a married spouse is addicted to pornography, they are actually cheating?
i mean cheating in the sense that the "innocent" spouse can then declare that they are victims of adultery, and be free to marry again?
i looked around their website and found nothing that specifically stated that it is considered cheating.
But it is in the elder's manual.

I think the referencce was regarding to wt lieterature in general and not just awake.
now with the internet you can forget about wt "literature" for all practical purposes but
decades ago it was a cheap and convinient source of information reaching disadvantage groups that was not availble to most people, specially in many parts of the world. Magazines 5 cents an issue, books 25 and 50 cents, to the public..
it did provide a rounded knowledge that could eventually set people apart in many ways
college education is directed mainly in one particular norrow field and does not prepare individuals to become "educated" and organized citizenz.
Most people go to college to get a job or start a business eventually. In the work place and businees world attitude and social skill may count more than specilized knowledge which is always being changed or updated, a manager can temporaly hire an 'specialist' anyway to solve difficult task.
one problen with wt magaznies and books, the "information" did not follow a topic or subject fron beginin to end in one issue it, so it took many years for a jw to become "educated".
a central (if not the) pillar of the wtbts mission is to cast broadly.
it reminds me of those commercial broadcasts (some talkback etc) that become streams of collective and self-encouraging biggotry - kind of like vaccum cleaners that recycle the air and collect the dirt while making a lot of noise - doing a 'good' job.
but the whistleblowing enlightened are only narrowcasting - what's with this?
Any reasonable person having an interest in the jw religion will find a way to search the INTERNET about it.
If she/he doesn't, i would seay that's negligence and most likely she/he does not search about anything, taking things as served.
Anyone being inside the jw religion for at least five years should have more than one reason to do some searching.
How do consider anyone who join (or stay) any religion or organization before searching the INTERNET about it?.
Even a NARROW-band dial up connection to the internet will do it.

Ararat mountain on this earth/globe, is like comparing a "200 micrometers grain of salt", i mentioned before, next to a basket-ball.
Ararat is insignificant in size compare to earth., probably nothing could grow too tall on earth anyway, earth movement wont permit it.
Physics and gravity tell us that nothing of reasonable weight can be attached to a ball without disturbing its "natural" movements and smoth rotations.
Back to the subject , why do you think that in order to cover such mountain with water everything else on earth has to be covered by water also?
There are some scientists stating it's entirely possible for the arc to have carried as many animals as mentioned in the bible . The dimensions as stated by the WTBTS are equivalent to what we use today as super tankers .1 cubit = 1.45 ft. That's a pretty big ship .
how many animals are we talking about?,
how much floor space is required to keep those animal (and food) that much time ( a year?) in such a boat cruise?

yes, again... after reading numerous posts on this site and doing some research on my own, i have a strong feeling that my whole belief will soon stand or fall with the understanding of 'this generation'.. matthew 24:3 .."tell us, when will these things be, and what will be the sign of your presence and of the conclusion of the system of things?".
matthew 24:7 for nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be food shortages and earthquakes in one place after another.. matthew 24:34 truly i say to you that this generation will by no means pass away until all these things occur.. .

I have decided to stop my study and to stop going to the meetings.

i dont neccesarily think so
Something tells me that I will find the true God amongst the many bits of information on this site before I find it in the worship book.
But you dont HAVE to tell jw about the truth when you finally find it, specially if you dont want to loose your good jw friends real fast.
You dont go around telling children that Santa does not exist. Even if they ask you, it may seem apropriate to change the subject.. Sooner or later they will find out...
As long as you dont complaint and you are willing to keep by their rules for the sake of peace and "friendship" it may be ok to be a jw
ALL human org or groups have rules written or tacit, many faults and dishonest members.
Most religions i have known are economic enterprises, have a single powerfull local "leader" who lives like a rich, beleive stupid doctrines etc etc what's new? if i HAVE to make a decision i would rather be a jw. .
In fact most "learned" xjw never join any other religion, ask them why?
They know too much, they are usully happy but missing an eutopia..
