  does anyone need to become a member of a religious organization to have access to the "truth"?

  i mean, i never did know anything about the bible haven't a jw knocked my door.

  it's only when i've had my regular study that i became interested with digging the truth.

  their truth

  no kidding many groups around the world, prior to major interventions, resided in a peacefull way.

  They only compass or guide was not really the bible, but the inner knowledge that tells you what is wrong, as implied by the two major "commands".. A sense of community or social responsability.

  BUT after groups of people became too "organized", eventually into nations, many found that following the major commands was equal to becoming pray of some let's say "criminals" as tjhey called now, or just victims of those who take advantage...

  In order to keep "order", nations develop too many laws but those who know better (criminals) always find the way out. So now most humans groups, nations, go by rules (laws) rather than "inner knowledge".

  Then come religions offering a solution, the "truth", when in fact many are just "criminal" groups.of some sort or a few leaders setup to take advange, followed by... you whom..

  History and common sense should tell us what we should do... not what we should listen to. But if we never did our home work, someone may come by to teach us the "truth".

  Mindless Meetings and Bored Dubs

  alright, so i am sitting at the meeting last week and i hear that very typical repetitive announcement.

  i start to look around and i realize that it is the same people every week who go to the back to sit in the second school.

  opinion 1. WT talked so bad about the UN for years and nothing happened that "somebody" requested the wt an apology and "show it" or... as their book and magazine articles were kind of direct confrontation and upsetting UN efforts worldwide..

  opinion 2. After 1975 fiasco etc WT received "new light" they started, slowly, to see the UN under new light (going mainstream) imitating Mr. Amstrong, they believe they are "ambassadors".and they beleive in a world government...

  Such a TOTALLY different attitude by the WT toward the UN, must be due to a totally different focus.

  BTW when was the last time the WT spoke negatively about the UN? any quotes?

  i was stunned by this dismal piece that i read in forbes magazine recently.

  coming from the uk it is astonishing to me that an affluent nation as is the us, cannot provide better protection for the health and welfare of its citizens.

  i was especially astonished by the fact that insurance companies withdraw their coverage while a person is sick and in need of help.

  I was DF when doing it but did not file for banckrupcy because of if but later almost had to, because of the attitude of jw relatives (including the insured) and their jw "brothers" and "siters"

  the issue burned me from two sides..

  two of my family members, not living with me, were so dedicated to the WT (side 1) they did nothing to cover for health care (insurance) or any other obvious human need for that matter.

  I ended up paying a private health insurance to take care of them..., thanks WT

  The state provides basic education for "free", (not really nothing is free from any gov.)

  BUT many gov, including usa (side 2) do not provide "free" health care, not only that but gov do a very poor job when it comes to "educate" about health, it is only 2+2 and ABC.

  If you loose your MENTAL or physical health, there is no much you can do, even having received a good "education' previously in other field, it shows how important is to be "educated" about health.

  Let say that in other words: we are very poorly educated about health, we should thank the gov and the junk food industry.

  BTW do you know how Cuba is doing in the two departments mentioned above?, (health and education)

  Bu again if we ignorant about anything of importance, it is mainly our fault... that include not only the the reason for joinin the wt but staying in it./

  Back to the topic if the gov does not provide healh care as we think it should, who is to blame, dont people choose gov every 4?

  dont you a right to ask a potential presidential candidate to do something about it?,( to include it in his proposed gov program....)

  babyboomers if you feel the pain... "they" will hear you. "hell no we wont pay"

  this case may go to the supreme court.

  it is very important for a lot of us.the wtbs hides behind the first amendment whenever they can (usually in money related cases) and then disposes of the rights of individuals who wish to leave, coerces families and causes families to break apart.

  Not really, many head of state men also doit but dont have the "balls' to doit in the main office.

  As far as Hillary, no one can acusse her of being politically incorrect.

  How will she/he be called, Mr. or Mrs?, what about the "First Lady" will called Mr. or Mrs.?

  So woman can not only vote now but become president... what else they want? oh i know, become elegible for GB membership., not in million years.
