  Was Adam black?

  okay, it's an old question but we haven't examined it here yet so let's have your thoughts.. adam was the progenitor of the whole human race, from his genes sprang the negroid, caucasian, mongoloid, indo-european and every other race on the planet.. the hebrew people were not selected as jehovah's chosen nation until abram had found favour with god so presumably all races were equal in his eyes before then.. so then, what basis is there, if any, for deciding what adam and eve's skin colour may have been?.

  could they not indeed have been black or blonde or chinese looking?.

  this is a pointless discussion i grant you.

  Just an observation around continents show the native (oldest residents) people have similar skin color, Australia, North and South America you name it.

  i am curious as to how many of you went on for further education and in what fields.

  i will go ahead and list the ones i already know.. larc - advanced degrees in organizational psychology.

  as of 6:02 pm last night i received a facsimile from paul hoeffel at the un on the wts.. he gave me 3 of the 4 things i requested in two paragraphs.. i have sent a scanned version to steve bates and someone else.. i sent it to kent and randy.

  and kent and randy have posted the official united nations letter on their web sites.. here is the letter - put your cursor on the image and then right click on your mouse and hit "save image" to your computer.. .

  after you look at kent's web site and you people still think this it is a fake letter, phone paul hoeffel yourself at (212) 963-8070.. hawk

  Preparing for Armageddon!

  what was the silliest thing you ever did to prepare for armageddon?.

  way back when in my pioneering days, when we were out in service we would often talk about what to do when the great tribulation came along.

  one of my pioneering buddies told me that he was so sure the gt was around the corner that he went and buried some food for the bros and sis to eat when we fled to the hills.

  Limited life experience and high credbility in the GB made me do a few stupid things to be prepared. But by summer 1974 i came to the conclution that more time was needed before the Big A arrived.

  1.- the "spritual" state of the org. I noticed jerks being appointed as elders CO DO etc

  2.- The logistic required to maitain a couple of millions jw survivors around the planet "together" under the GB was not there.

  If an adult enter your bedroom or even your backyard, you don't feel confortable.

  if a litle harmless boy do the same, specially playing with your kids, you don't care.

  bUT the boy can tell his fathers an uncle aunt etc what he saw in YOUR bedroom, specially if trained to do so.

  i have not made any calculations but just some numbers here

  the largest co in wall street are (market capital)
  ge, microsoft, cisco at least before stock market debacle

  335,000,000,000 microsoft value (stocks) true book value(what you get after selling all assets) is much less.

  wt is mostly cash and real state, no speculation here about future earning affecting stock value etc, they are not a public co. anyway.

  5,000,000,000 imho is the minimun wt is worth.

  look if they grossed 900,000,000 in a year half of it is clean profit imho.

  A resident CPA, i guess, said 10% net profit for a tipical corp. worst case or better go out of business.

  wt labor is free, and that is where most of the expenses are, payroll!!!

  being very conservative wt is netting 100,000,000 a year in ten years that is... well you know

  consider interest or gains if invested and they know how to play the stock market which was very profitable until recenrly

  they buy old buiilding for a few dollars and remodel or build with free labor, the most expensive part of a construction project..

  read it again, as you can see i did not intented going into details. You fill the blanks... what you have read about the issue is not all there is to know, as usual thing like that are much more complicated than they appear.
