  the dilemma facing apostate jehovahs witnesses, or apostate dubs, as i have dubbed them, (no pun intended) is the very fact of their seeming success.

  one of the great ironies of the apostate movement, that presumptuously boasts of "know the truth about the truth," is that apostates themselves are bound by the watchtower's own interpretive shortcomings, and hence are massively ignorant of jehovahs judicial decisions regarding his organization.

  in that the presumption in operation is that if enough scandal and error can be brought to light regarding the governing body, the watchtower society's teachings, as well as individual jehovah's witnesses, then that somehow means that jehovah's witnesses have no connection with jehovah god.

  As usual you make statements that you then are no willing to prove. You answered my question above with empty words.

  Soyou think silentlambs and Barbara did not confront the WT?

  Just as Paul did not confront Peter for his actituded of shunning the gentiles... (not that wanto go on a tangent, just an ilustration/real/parallel from your sacred source of truth.)

  Or will Jah use you as HIS spokman this time???

  In that case write to them (GB) not to this board.

  After the confrontation, which you think has not happened, will make then (GB) repent...they must for the parrallet to be true.

  How genuine will that change in acititude will be?

  1 Many here were not actually stupid.

  2 They/we did not have the facts, sources of information about the wt etc, now is differene story, as this board is elocuent testimony in favor of my statement.

  3 Some may have been afraid of the consecuences.to them or relatives, talk to person under the control of totalitarian gov, they are not neccessarily stupid.. on the contrary. What about if they were born in that land (wt), not knowing anything else?

  Don't accpet gifts from "reliigious questionable"

  "do not do any work for the military nor any church"

  "Donot provide them any kind of service"

  "got it from a garage sale? burn it, that is your source of problems"

  etc etc

  Sooner or later they may come up with something like:

  "all our problem are due to having accepted a gift from X and placed in the GB conference room. Not knowing exactly where it came from... (a DEAD GB member accept it)

  "OK brother we got rid of it, lets forget about the whole thing, Dont forget big A is around the corner.."

  last weekend i spoke to my good friend who was a jw elder but has since stepped down, nonetheless still calls me on a regular basis despite my being df'd.

  first he tells me that the dateline topic is hot.

  Ttrying to reason with 70 years old 'spiritual' jw motherinlaw?

  What did you expect?

  It is much better if she/they get informed or learn the thruth about the truth through third channels. Better if they can not respond to the channel/messenger, so they are forced to hear or read, such as newpaper article or tv show similar to dateline...

  Otherwise she/they can hear but can't listen or reason. Some burn in rage and kind of become a totally 'different' person while reacting to the real truth. Amazing, it almost makes me belevie spiritual forces exist.

  Fear/Anger is tye typical reaction when you confront someone with facts they dont want hear about..

  Been ther done that.

  thank you simon for this place.

  it's a good place for good people and i learned that really 99.99% of all people are good.

  just learning to accept others as they are and to unlearn the many prejudices that are so ingrained by religion, has been for me an education of greater worth than any university education!.

  conduct a poll to see if a more serious FORUM SECTION or board is needed.

  As it is when yout hit "ACTIVE" everthing is sorted together, fluff and all.

  You can make a second ACTIVE button just for the serious stuff maybe you could make the second "ACTIVE" button user defined, with a default setup of course.

  DONT forget a fixed topic always at the top "HOW TO USE THIS BOARD", locked, just with the instructions.

  the last days in the 14th century

  all through recorded history there have been people who have pointed to the calamities, horrors and disasters in the world, and preached that this signified an imminent end of the world.

  this isnt even unique to christianity, which started off with strong millennial expectations in the 1st century, and for the most part retains the same expectations almost 2000 years later.
