  Question? Do you know of any “statutory rape”, or “Child Molestation” cases handled as “Consensual sex “(fornication) by Jehovah’s Witnesses’ Judicial Committees?

  i was talking about this with the mrs., and we can recount at least half dozen cases in the last 20 years of adult j.w.

  men having sex with teenage boys or girls.

  not only were the police not informed, but also the victim was treated as a guilty party in fornication.

  Band on the Run, normal society has made up it's mind. Statutory Rape is a crime, especially when there is an age difference of 3 years or more. It is the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society (and perhaps the Taliban) who haven't made up there minds.

  I am sorry your friends and family endured this abuse. I can tell it had quite an effect on you as it has countless young girls around the globe. These experiences are terrible.

  Some of the Brooklyn Taliban need some jail time, don't you think? It might give give them "new light" on sexual assault.

  How big a fee does the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society get for booking Jehovah's Witnesses into Convention Hotels?

  i know travel agents and on-line sites get a kickback or fee for booking hotels.

  how much is this fee?.

  Embassy Suites

  Each hotel will pay up to 10 percent commission on all general public and other commissionable rates for the first 7 nights of a stay.

  Interesting- Embassy suites, my Favorite Hotel on a budget. 2 rooms, 2 free breakfasts, mini- burger and a couple of beers after the assembly for about $110 per night. Even though it is only a couple of miles (all back roads!) from our Convention site it was never on the "Approved List" and they were offering a 10% booking fee. - WOW 10% was not enough to get on the WTBTS list!!!!!!!

  A poor single mom in my bookstudy had to pay $100 over the AAA rate to stay at a "S...Hole" place 25 miles away for 3 nights, risk having the car stripped, and fight traffic. I didn't have the heart back then to tell her she got ripped off by rooming. Gosh I want to puke over some of the stuff I shut up about years ago.

  Thanks Flipper,

  I can still vividly remember some of these Victims in nearby circuits. They were raped twice, once by the perp and again by cruel hearted pharasees. I hope to see some of these men go to prison and experience what these young girls experienced.

  i just thought you should know that mrs cedars has finally taken the plunge and joined the forum.

  she was able to log on for the first time yesterday.. though we both "awakened" at different stages, mrs cedars was very supportive and non-judgmental when i first began exploring my beliefs from a critical standpoint.

  she is currently in the process of reading crisis of conscience and aquainting herself with some of the facts of witness history that were hitherto unknown.

This is the first verdict that the Jehovah's Witnesses church has faced. So, again, it is not the Catholic Church with multitudes of cases over a couple of decades." Ya.... Watchtower knows better and usually settles it's multitudes of cases.....
