Is the Governing Body EVIL or IGNORANT?
by cedars insome of you will have noticed that i've been paying a lot of attention to the governing body recently.
this is because most jehovah's witnesses venerate them collectively (even if they can't name them individually), and i feel this makes it important to understand this group of men properly and expose their mindset as individuals.
as the saying goes, i feel it's important to "know your enemy".. i realize it's very convenient to think of the governing body as being "evil" when we consider that they are ultimately responsible for all the damaging jw teachings and beliefs.

Close friend recently disfellowshipped.
by Emery injust recently i had a very close friend call to notify me of their future disfellowshipping.
i felt such sadnesss by their phone call as they seemed pretty shook up and were desperately pleading their repentance over the phone so i wouldn't think critically of them.
i immediately reassured that person that i still loved and cherished them greatly regardless of their status, i would be there whenever they needed me.

Good advise from all. Word to the wise. Over the last 30 years., amost every single disfellowshipped person I have spoken to while they were "out" told an elder I spoke with them, in order to seem repentant. Some bodies ASK if they spoke with anyone as a loyalty test. But I would risk the wrath of the local pharasees any day to support a friend or prevent a suicide.
Be a good listener. Ask "Why"- Why didn't the ransom apply to you??? Humm...why was the commitee .....secret....etc? Is that scriptural?? - Start them thinking. Most important...be an unconditional FRIEND.

Last week, a reader tipped us off that this Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses at 1235-37 Federal St. was available for sale.
The building
As opposed to numerous other religious buildings that have gone on the market recently, this building doesn’t have any particularly compelling architectural or historical features that make it crucial that its appearance is maintained. It could, in fact, stand for a little polishing by some trained professionals, particularly on the first floor facade.
The property is listed for $500K, and has over 10K if interior space. Because of its R10 zoning designation, a multi-family apartment conversion would seem to be the ideal reuse of the building. We’re not sure how many units could realistically fit here, but when you look at how far this building goes back, you’d have to think that plenty could be created.

GB Scandal?
by XBEHERE ina friend of mine got this info to me and states that this info is in fact on the grandson of guy pierce, gb member aka the jw college of cardinals.
this person didnt really go into detail but did say that the family are all jw's and this is the son of one of his stepsons, i didnt even realize he had stepchildren.
most of the charges are for drug possesion, traffic violations, one for assault???

(many victims of rape, child molesting, or cruel judicial actims).
it occured to me with over seven million jws, it is likely the governing body probably has greater blood guilt than even adolf hitler.. what do you think?

Claranetist, a recent thread has the number of JWs at about 2,000 + killed in Nazi Germany.
Was just yacking on the tele with Flipper and it hit us.... Using the Pew research numbers as to number of EX witnesses, Dead witnesses and Current JWS 7M+ we could be looking at 20-30 mil plus individuals having BEEN or Currently JWs. Factoring in Suicide, refused transplants, refused serums (snake bite, Hep., Vacines, Refused Blood Transfusions, Refused Blood Fractions I believe it is VERY POSSIBLE Flip Flop Docterines of the Governing Body have killed a much greater number of JWs than HITLER and the Nazis!

i've been many times as a child and young adult, but haven't been for 17 years or so.
it was the hungarian's first time.

It has been over 15 years for me. Half dome is a hike I will never forget...that cable is the bomb. The backcountry is amazing. Done all the Valley hikes, and rim hikes, and some of the back country....but it has become so crowded it takes the fun out of the trip.
There are lots of other trails in California much less used. Glad you had a great time and we missed you!

Digging around for some old Rap sheets to verify rumors. Multi state is an expensive search. OLD stuff is not all computerized and will require a physical search.
This may tie some loose ends together regarding actions of the GB.
