  HELP!!! Need Contacts in Portland-Gresham Oregon

  a very special request for help - not money - just information!!!.

  i normally would not ask this kind of a favor, but this really is important.. i am working with portland area investigators and journalists who are doing research on the whitney heichel /jonathan holt murder case and one other case involving other serious criminal activity.

  they are particularly interested in anyone who might have attended kingdom halls in or around gresham and might know some of the members, former jws, or other related contacts in that area.. if you are from that area, or have connections there, please contact me via pm.

  When I was a much younger man..we witnessed to groups of hookers in Union Square San Francisco...they giggled during the entire presentation.

  Went to a nudist colony in the hills a few times..they giggled too. always took the Mags. Nudist women in the 70s had hairy armpits....and legs.

  New TV Reality Show Wed Night "Amish Mafia", perfect conversation starter for JWs and Cult members.

  Do you miss "dressing up" for the meetings?

  i was thinking about this the other day when doing a bit of tidying up of my wardrobe.

  all the kh suits are now pushed to the back of the wardrobe and i am seriously thinking about a visit to the charity shop to get rid of most of them.. for me one of the (few) enjoyable aspects of being a jw was getting dressed up.

  my secular work very rarely involves putting on a dress suit & tie so i miss getting dressed up - smart suit , tie , shiny shoes , slapping on the aftershave.

  WOW- I have not thought about this. NO. All those suits etc are expensive to buy and maintain, and not comfortable.

  In my area almost no one wears a suit for business, which I find amusing since WTBTS insisted the JW dress code is "business attire".

  besides the folks walking with signs at each convention, what was your first taste of "apostasy"?

  my first interesting experience happened within the kingdom hall.

  my congregation in dallas (farmers branch) was in the same district as the bonham congregation which was about 70 miles northeast of dallas.. http://governingbodyletters.blogspot.com/2008/04/who-owns-kingdom-halls.html.

  what happened in bonham, texas?

  : the body of elders and the majority of the congregation decided to leave the watch tower organization.

  and with that, they took the kingdom hall.
