  Any suggestions on handling financial abuse of a senior by the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society?

  does anyone here have any suggestions on handling financial abuse of a senior by the watchtower bible and tract society?

  mom gave a lot of money to the watchtower bible and tract society over her lifetime- (6 figures).

  after she ran low on funds she made a 5 figure "conditional loan" to wtb&ts.

  Update:

  Well, mom's expenses have exceeded the amount I can PROVE Watchtower owes her.

  The treasurers office REFUSED to put anything in writing and would not TAKE calls. They only called back at a random time to make a VERBAL statement they WILL NOT send ANY money because She had "forgiven the loan"...verbally. They refused to provide any documentation to that effect, and said "just put her on government assitance"!!!!!!!

  I was amazed at how that rolled off the Bethelites tongue...like he says that every day.

  We consulted with two attorneys. Both said whatever we win in court would simply be claimed by the state, and we would be stuck with legal expenses...and it might disrupt the government assistance. However, once she has died and the state comes looking to the estate for $$ for medical costs, to sick the STATE on WTBT$. They state has the resources to lein WTBT$ and we will not be out of pocket.

  Moral of the Story for elderly- DO NOT LOAN MONEY or Make Conditional gifts TO WATCHTOWER...they will consider it "Corban".

  After all they do say in the Feb. Awake "God helps those who help themselves" and they do.. "help themselves".

  The whole subject is facinating to me.

  15 years ago in my area it seemed most Elders thought only "apostates" and "deluded" partook if they were under 80.

  I was bedside when a 100 yr old JW "annointed" pioneer died 10 years ago. She knew Russel and Rutherford and everyone considered her one the last true annointed in the area.

  Now "partaking" seems to be the new "in thing" ....at least for the GB and Watchtower Elite.

  From reading Rays books and threads on this site, if one believes in the ransom, partaking makes more sense......soooooo are these new partakers a secret 5th column INSIDE the Borg with a new theology?

  i thought that we could just fade away peacefully, but i guess my mother told my sister that we no longer wanted to be jehovah's witnesses so now all hell is breaking loose.. .

  it's a relief tho.

  i feel really sad and upset also, because my mom lives with my sister and now has been forbidden from contacting me or vice versa.

  the rspca and national trust are also in top 10 most-complained about charities, the regulator has revealedthe central body for jehovahs witnesses in britain and a spiritual healers organisation were the charities about which the charity commission received the most complaints in the two years to march 2012.. the regulator said it had received 13 complaints about both the watch tower bible and tract society of britain and the nfsh charitable trust during the period.. the figures were revealed in response to a request under the freedom of information act, made by the conservative mp simon hart in july, for a list of the ten charities about which the commission received most complaints.. the rspca and jnf charitable trust, which is concerned with israel, were the next most complained about, with 12 complaints to the commission over two years.. hart, a former chief executive of the pro-hunting charity the countryside alliance, was one of a group of cross-party group of politicians that has called on the commission to investigate the rspca after it spent more than 320,000 on a successful private prosecution of the heythrop hunt.. the commission's list does not include complaints made to charities themselves or to other regulators such as the advertising standards authority and the fundraising standards board.. the commission said none of the complaints against charities in the top 10 resulted in any formal action against those organisations.

  our boe went to their secret squirrel school on boxing day last week so i can only assume its related to that.

  Sir 82...sooo...how is the 2 brother "investigation" into the porn thing handled?

  Does the brother loan the judicial team his porn dvds or porn site password?

  After the "investigation" is completed, does another "investigation team" investigate the investigators, and so on and so on until Every elder in the hall has the passwords and DVDs................
