I have a bunch of Rutherford era collectables in the garage (to keep demonzes out of the house ).

My favorite Watchtower volumes inside to share with visiting JWs. Bibles, different translations. Strongs, Diaglotts, Current CRAZY TALK Watchtower and Awakes to share with JW relatives. I want a BIG high quality photo of the 4/15/2013 of the Governing body on top of the earth to mat and frame...kind of like a velvet Elvis picture..or the card playing dogs. It would be a hoot to have promently on the living room wall when a JW relative visits....I would LOVE to photograph their faces seeing that on the wall............

could some of the watchtower bible and tract society, and jehovahs witnesses governing body be suffering from schizophrenia?.

does it strike you as odd that millions of jehovahs witnesses and the multi-billion dollar watchtower bible and tract society might be directed by men who received a special calling by god as teenagers in the 70s?.

in light of the fact that 99% of jehovahs witnesses accepted the accepted watchtower doctrine that the 144,000 were sealed in 1935, those that suddenly began partaking in later years, (especially untested youth) were frequently met with raised eyebrows and thought of as possibly mentally diseased in times past.. could there be an explanation?

I know of a couple of JWs who are "functioning Schizophrenics" one takes meds, one doesn't. Both get actual "answers" to their prayers...gods voice in dreams. Both have semi successful businesses. Both are funny and ingaging.

Since their are shades of grey in many medical conditions...I just wonder.

Warren Jeffs (morman seperatist), and other religious leaders do they really believe they are chosen to do gods will ?

in a watchtower article from 2010 i found a jesus who looks.

similar to the angel in the organizational sheet.

now that you realise how idiotic some of the jw beliefs are/were, do you feel ashamed of how gullible you were to believe them?.

if anything my past as an adult jw makes me understand how easily manipulated people are by the people and environment around them.

and that even intelligent people can be influenced beyond what is rational..

While I am ashamed of my gullibility, I find the gullibility of some of my older family members astounding. Some were at Bethel during the heyday of Rutherford, and TOLD me about much of the Bethel crap and weird mystical Russel beliefs long before I went. Yet they believed it.......or said they did.

They did say things like "they are just men", "take the Watchtower with a grain of salt", "Rutherford was an Ass and a woman hater" stuff like that.

Odd that they were outwardly loyal. (outwardly- they had retirement accounts).

Post KM Elder School, you may see elders become a little nosier or nebby than usual.

after reading through onedayillbefree's thread about being taken into the back room and asked inappropriate questions, i was reminded about a part done at the km school.

one of the common themes throughout the one day school was viewing things the way god sees them and how doing so will require that elders develope insight.

they defined insight as, evaluating individual aspects in light of others, or getting & understanding facts and how all relate to one another.. next, they gave specific examples where an elder will need insight in order to assist wayward sheep.

Missing meetings = Stick collectors worthy of death LOL There are always a couple of kooks who will come up with this connection and they will use it as a ticket to hound JWs needing to fade, earn a living or attend school.

Years ago an elder told me I was missing meetings (I wasn't) I told him he was full of it. He said I "never attended the SAT meeting for field service" !!!!

At the time I worked Saturdays and led the Sunday service group. Weird

so the local jc decided to df my girlfriend because of basically premarital sex.. she confessed few weeks back to the elders, and the judicial system had its wheels rolling.. they confronted her today, and eventually came to the conclusion described above.. .

she told them that she regretted our sexual acts, and that we wouldn't perform that kind of actions before we're married.. they talked with her about getting married etc.

a week before the jc.. now the reason they decided to df her was not the sexual acts itself, nor the lack of regret,.

If you followed the Henderson pedophia case in Northern California he sodomized kids in multiple congregations for years and was only privately reproved and re-appointed an elder. He was a good time charlie and hospitable to local elders.

The JW model of Judicial hearings has no biblical or legal basis. The only thing like it in the bible was the secret night trial of Jesus. Earlier times had public trials at the City gates.

DC hotel list shortened

we got our list of hotels available for our convention in the greater seattle area and there are only 3 hotels willing to have a watchtower block.. my mil thinks its because "as the society warns us to not do, people book rooms and then end up being a no show or cancel on short notice".

maybe its because they realize the jw's really arent the "most outstanding patrons" as they claim to be.

lets not forget that all wordly people that stay.
