One experience in our old Kingdom Hall that still HAUNTS me
by Newly Enlightened inthe following is a true experience and my daughter gojira101 will verify that it happened to her.
an experience from our family's past that still haunts me and started my questioning whether this is the true organization of god or not.. my daughter, who has always been a good kid, never gave us any problems [she's an adult now] started regular pioneering.
within a few weeks of her starting, she fell on a steep hill and tore open her knee and had to have several stitches.

mom gave a lot of money to the watchtower bible and tract society over her lifetime- (6 figures).
after she ran low on funds she made a 5 figure "conditional loan" to wtb&ts.

A precedent would simply be an internal procedure for collection by the state. They have stringent rules regarding "gifting" before going on government aid. A prominent California Attorney was prosecuted last year for helping people "game" the medicaid/medical/SSI system. I believe the "Conditional Gifts" program by the Treasurers office is an illegal scam to get around these laws. I also believe WTBTS DEPENDS on elderly Forgetting or being reluctant to sue the Society (and be disfellowshipped in their 80s) with this program.
The really smelling part of this is all the secretcy involved. The Docs are hard to obtain.

reinstatement tries
by Honeybucket ini am looking for the reinstatement guidelines for someone who has been actively trying to get reinstated for 2 years and have put in a reinstatement letter 3x in those two years but was denied everytime.
are the elders just making an example of them, have they permenately been kicked out, or maybe these people dont want to come back and this story is part of their fade.. .
has anyone ever heard of people not getting reinstated.

can someone explain to all the interested jwn lurkers and faders, why these romanian and other eastern european witnesses disfellowshiped the governing body in new york?.
i received a email from a member claiming to be part of this group, i was told they "disfellowshiped the governing body" for disobedience to jehovah god and not following the fine examples of brother russell, rutherford and knorr.

elders wife swapping question
by unstopableravens ini hear of these stories of elders swapping wives, i remember when i was young hearing of three elders in florida doing this and getting dfed.
my question is this how is it possible to bring this up in conversation?
it seems impossible, how can there be multi elders that know each other willing and the wives?

Humm I knew a couple of MS who were cousins who swaped wives. The Uncle elders met out private reproof. The C.O. was furious and tried to remove all the elders. Neighboring hall.
A couple I times I heard of close couples who after drinking, dancing, on vacation- 2 individuals "hooked up". The "innocent mates" got angry and had "revenge sex". The situation leaked out and made the gossip rounds as "wife Swapping".

Witness wants to come and vist. What to do?

reasons unknown to me other than that she told me her and husband had separated.

Most bible studies quit. She is used to it. If she wanted to come over and discuss your concerns AFTER she reads JW Facts, and Watchtower documents.....perhaps. Tell her you wish to be open minded. Ask her "doesn't the watchtower society say it is wise to examine your religion" ?

Oh and one more suggestion. something along the lines of I am sooooooo sorry "I hurt Jehovah and the Congregation" "I was sooooo sad and deppressed I thought about ending it all" will get some attention from even the most cold hearted SOBs.
