  first of all let me start by saying who am i to judge, but... i understand jwn has completely evolved over the years, but what i would like to see a forum that has current members and former jw's that still live by bible principles and respect the bible, but are not afraid to call out the watchtower on their practices and revised history.

  i think quality posters as mentioned above, after venting their frustrations and experiences realize this website is taken over by athiests.

  Met and knew most of them in the 60s, 70s & 80s. Some had been family friends.

  Fred Franz- friendly but odd...the Sauna bible meeting thing....only a shrink could figure that out

  Knorr- friendly at home- ALL business at work- same for Jaracz "ship captain" personality

  Ray Franz- true believer- kind- open minded- hospitable- smart

  Sydlick- mixed bag. great guy & joker one day- pompous asshole the next.

  Chitty- Flaming gay

  Booth- pleasant quiet guy

  The rest I only knew from brief work related meetings

  ive written extensively on the subject of the watchtower organizations communally enforced religious position against blood transfusion.

  but i often neglect to put the brains behind this religious position on display in full flaming glory.. in short order we have a gloriously brilliant display of these brains by aligning three of its epiphanies in nearly perfect 12-year intervals of 1932, 1944 and 1956.. take a look for yourself:.

  In Northern California a P.O. who worked as a State Fire arson investigator caried a loaded shotgun in his Pick up that he parked at the hall.

  A few of Silicon Valley Elders( aka: servants) (cops) wore guns under jackets while on the platform in the 60s,70s, early 80s.

  An ex-cop brother with a ccw was used as a "bodyguard" to make bank deposits for San Francisco Cow Palace conventions in the 90s.

  In the late 40s the Bethel factory night watchman had a .38.

  The whole concept of "concealed" = you shouldn't know who does or doesn't. :)

  i usually dismiss the "drinking the kool aid" scenarios that are posted from time to time, but the latest wt has another bit of fearmongering.

  the quote from page 20, para 17. elders who are reading this article can draw some useful conclusions from the account we have just considered: (1) the most practical step that we can take to prepare for the coming attack of the assyrian is that of strengthening our faith in god and helping our brothers to do the same.

  (2) when the assyrian attacks, the elders must be absolutely convinced that jehovah will deliver us.
