  Not on JW.ORG: Is a Jehovah's Witness who is active on Facebook, yet lists "Jehovah Witness" as Religion...loyal to the GB ?

  current active jws..question...is facebook now ok...or not for good jdubs ?

  i have to interface for business with a jdub who has an active fb page, and lists "jehovah's witness" under the "religion" area- publicly.

  so is this a super zealous jw...weak....disobediant...or zealot?

  Perhaps it just a local thing then in my area. The local JWs all took down personal pages. The ones still on are using middle names and avitars and friends only settings.

  i have to interface for business with a jdub who has an active fb page, and lists "jehovah's witness" under the "religion" area- publicly.

  I have to interface for business with a JDub who has an active FB page, and lists "Jehovah's Witness" under the "Religion" area- publicly.

  So is this a super zealous JW...weak....disobediant...or zealot? Most JWs I know who FB for business put nothing under "religion" or "Christian".

  How would you read this person?

  ??? My question about this is...since the "form of worship that is pure...is to look after Orphans and Widows....Has Watchtower provided for the Widow and Orphans? WHAT was the beef about?

  I am amazed how many Ex & Current JWs come out of the woodwork on LinkedIn and Facebook. I always make my email and phone available, so old friends can find me.

  Unemployment is down, but why did America set a record 47.8 million on food stamps?

  in the usa a new record was set on food stamp enrollments, which seems ironic.

  you would think as unemployment drops , food stamp usage would be dropping, too.

  maybe those government unemployment numbers are fake numbers.

  In my town, my former real estate agent is now a waitress. The guy flipping pizza was a mortgage broker. The spec. homebuilder is a handyman. These types of people might need foodstamps but can't get unemployment.

  Did you have someone that annoys you at every meeting?

  at every meeting and every assembly i went to, a sister would always ask me "how are you?

  how is your family?

  " she says it with a gloomy face every time!

  The Elder who had to comment on EVERY paragraph and made the meeting run overtime.

  The sister who insisted no one wear perfume to the hall...yet was always seen in the pesticide and chemical isle at the hardware store.

  The phoney elder who would run up after you had missed a meeting (Vacation or Public talks out of town) How ARE you..we MISSED you!-in front of a group of JWs like you had gone awol. ( I liked to say -REALLY?- why didn't you call me..? You have my number...

  The teenage girls with bad bladders who would parade up and down the isle hoping all the boys saw them ...like ya..they saw you the first 2 times.

  The couple who always sat in the middle of the first two rows and answered EVERY paragraph...like YA..we saw you...let someone else answer..and lets get this done so we can all go home..PLEASE.....

  The THREE child molesters who sat near the front to make sure everyone saw them answering and being all "theocratic".....gross.

  aargh just shoot me, my wife just came home from field service bi&*&ing about her friends inactive/faded husband.

  the thing is he and his wife use the excuse that he is sick from irratable bowel syndrome.

  however he works 50+ hours a week.

  Start showing her some stuff from newspapers you come across "accidently"- google alerts. You can't un-ring a bell. Eventually something in the hall with mesh...and she will realized there is no "Holy Spirit" operating on or appointing the Elders. Get her thinking. Show her a good time on Sunday day trips- away from the hall.

  EUGENE, Ore. -- Richard Gonzales arrived at the Jehovah's Witness Kingdom Hall on Wednesday night as five elders were leaving a meeting, the sheriff's office said.

  Gonzales forced the five back inside and got into an argument with one of the men, Kenneth Mort, the sheriff's office said. Investigators said Gonzales shot Mort, then ran from the building.

  Gonzales had been a Jehovah's Witness but no longer is a member of the religion, the sheriff's office said.

  Gonzales knew Mort. In 2002, Mort sought a restraining order against Gonzales. The order was terminated in 2003, according to court records.

  Gonzales (below right) is currently married to Mort's ex-wife, the sheriff's office confirmed. However, investigators do not believe that is a factor in the shooting.

  Gonzales has been charged with murder and faced arraignment Thursday afternoon.

  He was captured just after midnight Thursday following a manhunt involving a helicopter, multiple law enforcement agencies and police dogs. Police found his car abandoned and later spotted him from the air in a clearing in the woods. Gonzales was taken into custody with the help of a police dog.

  Sheriff's deputies got the original call of a hostage situation at the Jehovah's Witness Kingdom Hall at 8:24 p.m. Wednesday. Deputies investigating an armed robbery in nearby Pleasant Hill, Ore., were the first on scene. They found Mort dead.

  Co-workers keep business open

  The people Mort worked with at Hitch Pro & Tow in Eugene opened the shop for business as usual Thursday morning.

  Mort co-owned the business with Craig Metzger.

  "It's been a real hard day, to lose a great friend and a good man," Metzger said.

  "When we got the tragic news last evening, we discussed what to do," said Norma Metzger, Mort's co-worker and longtime friend. "I asked Craig, 'What do you think Ken would want us to do?' And he said, 'I honestly feel, the way Ken felt about his customers, that he would want us to carry on.' So that's why we're here today. This is for Ken."

  Craig Metzger said he and Mort had known each other for 20 years through work.

  "We got to become friends and appreciated each other's work ethics," Metzger said.

  The two decided to go into business together 9 years ago.

  "He ran the shop, he was really our main custom fabricator, the creative guy on some of that stuff," Metzger said. "He was the main guy and trained those guys to be able to do it."
