  KHConf - I had no idea how big it has become!

  if you are a jw in the us or canada, you probably already know about "khconf".

  it is a business that has been set up (presumably by some jws somewhere) that supplies call-in numbers and teleconferencing for shut-ins to listen to kingdom hall meetings.. they have their own website: www.khconf.com.. .

  what i didn't know is how much they've spread!

  Anybody seen this Doco. about Yahweh Ben Yahweh on TV.?

  the wife and i watched it last night on tv.. "uncovered: the cult of yahweh ben yahweh on oxygen tv.channel .i`m in vict.aust.. he must have been a charismatic person to gain so many followers in his early days when he created the "nation of yahweh" starting off in the miami area in the early 1980`s ?

  and it spread throughout a number of "states" including ny state i believe.. he set up many places of worship and apparently gained a lot of wealth with his many activities & not all christ like .. he was not adverse to using thug like standover tactics when it suited him.. why i`m bringing this up here is i don`t think the wt/jw `s ever commented on his activities seeing he was using god`s name with the proper pronunciation.and he was gaining converts in their own territory so to speak.. they were always attacking the catholic religion at any given opportunity ,however as far as i can tell they never commented on his rise to fame and his ultimate fall from grace.. overall it was an interesting program .

  There is another posting hereabouts referring to jw's as clueless.

  Has he been told about Candace Conti and her case or the 34 Million pay out to another two women in Montana?

  In the fullness of time if/when govts turn on the wt they are going to have to force jw's to read to look and see with their own eyes the chicanery and the cases of abuse so they can not any longer deny it happened.

  Thus following the pattern set by Gen. Eisenhower when a GI camera man was filming in a Nazi death camp. Eisenhower said to the GI.." keep filming, in a few years time no one will believe this happened."

  i heard that this hearing had commenced last week, and today i found the actual video of the entire hearing.

  for context: pennsylvania still has an outdated law wherein an abuse victim only has a certain amount of time to come forward and have their abuser charged with a crime.

  several abuse victim advocacy groups have been lobbying and petitioning around the country in states where these statute of limitations remain in order to rewrite the laws to eliminate such time frames so that victims of abuse can come forward at any time in the future and press charges.

  Take a Moment and Think About How Awesome You Are

  it's easy to get bogged down with life and think you're not getting ahead or progressing.

  but regardless of where we think things may be going, pretty much everyone who's come through this site is an achiever who's done an amazing thing in one way or another even if they may not think about it.. so think about it!.

  you got past and over your programming and indoctrination.

  Went in at 24 and put up with trying to be perfect until i saw the false facade and was cut to the bone by some horrendous gossip.

  Was robbed by brothers and found the elders committees utterly useless. I put this down to useless elders. I was later to learn it was not just those elders but the organization.

  Contacted Federal Ministers to support the jw in Malawi. In recent years found out it was the branch office that told them there not to obtain or carry the party ID cards. Found out further the head office denied that and said it was the jw in Malawi who "chose" their course re the cards.

  1975.. never believed it.

  Down these years was raising a family and eventually faded. After the demise of members of her family my wife went back and the more she got back in the more our marriage went down hill.. we are separated.

  Then came the CARC. Thus with this awe-ful chapter of life I have found this place and been able to help many many others.

  All my life experiences and and learning gave me the ability to put my words together when i contacted the CARC to counteract the chicanery of wt elders as they appeared on the witness stand. I sent emails and made phone calls and on occasion i broke down. I told the counsellor that my passion for the CARC is born out of the knowing my offspring were abused. She said to me "We have had so many phone calls." (exposing the elders)and she added "It must be so hard for you to do this, I think you are very brave".

  I put together a parcel of notes for the CARC and posted it off it weighed just under 5 kilo.

  Out of this all i am disappointed that the govt has been so cowardly in dealing with the wt but I did a job that with out the knowledge drawn from here and I know the silent support i never would have had the courage or the ability.

  if a jw had the nerve to ask me this question, i'd say to them, "you go first.

  using only scriptural proof, show me why you believe that the wtbts/ccojw is god's choice and i'll tell you if i agree with your scriptural reasoning.".

  wait for the silence and the rabbit in the headlights moment.. i searched on the wt cd rom for references of "channel of communication.".
