  interestingly, norway is an oil-producing country.

  nevertheless, the price of petrol pr litre is at approx.

  15 kroner, that is 2$50c a litre (roughly 10 dollars a gallon)... that is the highest price in any country... however, when estimated how much an average person has to work in order to buy the petrol, norwegians are among the 10 countries in the world that have the relatively "lowest" price.

  taxes on retail fuel sales are one of the biggest money spinners for theAustralian govt/s.

  Former PM Fraser started 'world parety pricing' which was bs but a great excuse to tax the daylights out ofthe economy.

  I havemet a few elders who were 'hard-core'. a big difference between that and being a caring person.

  yes there is booze, street drugs and inane parties at universities. None are compulsory!

  The wts makes out that these vicers only exist in the Uni world. Like BD and P dont exist ay where else. dont exist in the work place?

  dont exist at convention or in bethels.

  The wts is against education because an educated person is a stand alone threat to their power base.

  As a older brother said many years ago, in relation to some issue, "we are not allowed to think and God help us if we complain".

  hmm while there is a need and nothing wrong in cleaning windows or toilets. get this! neither of these jobs will replace you car when it finally dies. nor will these jobs pay a mortgage or rent which will keep going up up up. dont even think of having kids while you are a toilet/window cleaner.

  Hm of the gb clean their own toilets?

  i remember a gorgeous sister was making fun of her elder husband's big belly.

  i do not know why she mentioned it to me about it in private outside of the kingdom hall.

  any ideas why she mentioned about it to me?

  well the face and body might have been gorgeous but pity about the brain.

  she made fun as other have made fun of me when i had severe injuries and had a 'walk'.

  She was unwittingly revealing a major flaw in the JW movement and that is a general absence of basic fitness.

  i appreciate all that have contributed their time and hardwork over the years here at jwn.. this post here is directed to those who are on the fence like i was.

  i hope this helps you in some way to understand both the doubts and indoctrination.. i am also currently an active jehovahs witness and have been for almost 20 years (26 years old).

  the Pharasiacal.. hmm is that the self-righteous class? I learned to avoid the bros who could talk nothing but the ..'truth' they were an utter plain boring pain in the butt.

  The same conversations every time you saw them. Their female side talked about nothing but the 'truth' but this was who was on with who, who hase been around for dinner, do you know the ##### from ### congregation they arerelated to too... AAARRGGGHH!

  So I got around this with polite nods and greetings and move on.

  The when i saw how Elders meetings/hearings are conducted when a bro took me for thousands.. when the minutes of said meeting mysteriously disappeared... and the lesser stupid things about dress; tropical weather the KH like an oven but must wear a jacket and tie while handling the mike,

  its Bro ## "privilige" to open windows.................................................all this I saw and tolerated at a distance.

  When I learned that my children had been sexually abused by a 'perfect' brother... and then investigated to find a massive cover up of pedophiles around the world, then there was no more tolerance.

  How can you all argue whether this is right or that is not so right when this vile pogrom against the innocent is tolerated, denied, and hidden.?

  What leads a person to think they are inspired by God?

  there seems no end of people claiming to be inspired.

  there are numerous holy books claiming to have been handed to their writers by god.

  these days a person writing their own holy book is likely to be met with scepticism (unless you are a scientologist), so people tend to claim to be inspired to interpret older holy books.

  Disaster Relief Grab-bags For Witnesses

  it is a good idea to be prepared for a natural disaster.

  but,is the watchtower society selling these or are they going through a third party?.

  in one congregation,they are taking orders for these,since i guess there is a group discount.. there are other survival kits you can purchase.

  Having emergency supplies eh. Hmm what happened to the

  'Jehovah will provide' 'Trust in jehovah' 'Dont sore stuff because others will come in and steal it'.

  This is another complete turnaround.

  My wife has mentioned this situation of storage of stuff so it must have been mentioned at the KH.

  Who are they going to get to teach them what to pack? Anyone with any initiative is pushed out.

  Most JW are so bloody thick they would not know what to store. Unless they have been in the armed forces they are thick because of the above being hammered into them and being denied an education over the last generations.

  There is another aspect to this. Do you have the right to protect home, and kin and supplies from the bad people then?

  Perhaps if an enraged mob trashed NY bethel ? would we then see 'new light'?
