  The wts always has had a fear of beards.

  They reveal a lot about there thinking when this and more like it are presented to kids. All the more obey or else.

  What about the picture from Solomon complete with the sword to cut the baby in half?

  The 'childrens book of bible stories' consists with about three exceptions of obey or else stories. The wts writers who have never had kids must be terrified of little ones. and the pictures of women (Eve) have the heavily done eyebrows and western hair.

  Were these the artists putting themselves into print?

  "well osts, satan, through adam challenged god's right to rule......so god had to let it play out to show that he really should be the one ruling mankind.

  both the angels and humans needed to see this.

  me - why couldn't god have allowed adam's children to remain perfect?

  At a convention an elder spoke loudly that 'universal sovereignty' was the issue of the age.

  I remember thinking "says who?" There were the usual countries starving, crime was on the up, home mortgage rates were on the up as here in Australia they can be changed on you after you have signed.

  apart from the limbless lame and blind.. nope 'us' is the issue. I didnt know it then but perhaps they had been hit with a law suit? No www in those days

  so i'm young enough to not remember having hot prepared meals at assemblies, but heard all about it from my parents and the like.

  but what i do remember were all of the cold sandwiches and institutional snacks and soda.

  remember the food tickets we started to use?

  I recall when they stopped supplying food "as it took the brothers away from the program."

  I think the answer was that the young ones who had been hammered to be 'spiritual' (interp. wear the right shoes clothes and get an attendants job) and were not interested in attending in kitchens.

  I suggested that congregations who were not scheduled at the convention could volunteer to do the food side of it. rejected.

  In the end there was 'new light' that said we all bring our own along. So the expensive kitchen lay idle until it was all removed to make offices.

  She bashed me with the Watchtower then UNFRIENDED me!

  all i've done is posted scriptures on my facebook page for discussion.

  this uber-jw 'friend' has engaged me in debate, each time cutting and pasting a whole bunch of wt quotes on whatever our topic is, and i've responded with scriptures and she could only answer with another wt quote, and now today i see she's unfriended me!

  all her comments are gone too.

  The lady has problems and she is hiding behind the wall of religion. Think of the good you could be doing for yourself or another now no longer wasting time with this one.

  The CO asked for money tonight at the meeting.

  i was shocked i do not know why as i have read that the co's were doing this but to hear it with my own ears was unbelievable.

  i do not go to the meetings but my husband still does and this week is the co's visit.

  i decided that i would listen in to his talk; i swear i have lost some brain cells by doing it but anywho.. he started out by talking about the old story that has been in the wt many times about a little boy who was seven and raised a chicken and gave the money to the society.

  I the 'last' child and was treated this way in all matters for years.

  Do the parents have any hobbies or creative interests? Time they got some.

  Are they retired? Making use of their working years now as you wish to do.

  Conditional Friendships?

  we use to be great friends, religion was never an issue and we could be on the phone hours on end.

  she always told me how much of a good friend i was but when she brought up religion and told her i didn't believe that way and that "i hope that doesn't get in the way of are friendship.

  " it didn't that night but the morning after she began to preach to me, back then i didn't really know much about the bible to speak out or show her any flaws but now i do and now it's been constant debates (that i win) but i hate that are friendship even has to have that in their.

  Why Watchtower fights dirty in its war against "apostates"

  I glanced over this long article (sight probs) and was utterly appaled at the mis use of quotes. Do they think god is stupid as to not notice this or does he come to them for advice?

  Their misquotes are on a apar with the protection of pedophiles for badness and on the same industrial scale as well.

  I didnt like the public spectacle.

  and some guy came into the change rooms and asked "anyone getting baptised for the second time?". Many years ago i was baptised in an another church so i said "yes". another bro indicated yes. The visitor mumbled something to himself counted our number (God they love numbers!) and left. ?

  Years later i saw to my dismay a little girl baptised. She was 8 or 9. I knew that wasnt right.
