  Is the UK Charities Commission fit for purpose?

  i'm not an expert on charity law, but the minimum criteria required by any organisation to retain their charity and tax-free status (as defined on the uk government's own website) is most certainly not being met by the wtbts/jw's.. the pdf flowchart on this page of the web site should convince most thinking people that the wtbts is not acting for the public's best interests:.

  the wtbts/jw "charity" is a self-serving entity whose sole purpose is to perpetuate its own existence via the recruitment process of new members by existing unpaid members..

  dozy.. fair comment but why then does the wt need more and more money. ie selling off kh', closing branch offices and so on.

  • NB. in case anyone didnt know.
    
  • kh are built with volunteer labour.
  • kh are paid for by the members there in
  • frequently with donated materials
  • with many on donated land.

  when they are sold up this is a huge cash pile but who does it go to? does it go to the cong that built the facility?

  There are too many accounts on-line where jw have seen the money be transferred to bethel NY for this to be rumour.

  dinner out..

  took myself out for dinner.. a family mum dad and two girls came in.

  mum had the 50 yard stare dad had no convo at all and the two girls went at it like demented type writers.

  why is it that girls of an age seem to need to say every word they think.

All about this one and that and who said this or that. Why is it that girls of an age seem to need to say every word they think. I would not have minded if they had been quieter about it.

  Then it hit me...the scenario could have been in a kh where the same inane level of conversation takes place..

  the light continues to get brighter, yada, yada, yada.. but, the bottom line is the watchtower claims everything comes from jehovah.

  books, magazines, videos, assemblies, to jw broadcast, to gb appointments, to dramas, even the music and sophia and caleb.

  heck, they would claim jehovah provides the toilet paper if they could.

  he was reporting on the second trial of t robinson for the same offence that being reporting from outside a court house after the trial in question was over.

  this defendant tr has been found guilty and if sent to prison he will face the real possibility of being murdered inside.

  Certain Parts of New York City suffering from a blackout

  i'm in queens, but manhattan midtown and upper west side have no power right now, local news stations have tweeted such on their social media.

  i just hope it stays in manhattan.

  too hot for a menopausal woman to go through tonight without a fan or air conditioner (like they're aren't any women in manhattan going through the same thing)!

  my wife told me that the wt conductor said in in the strongest most emphatic way.

  that all child abusers will now be reported to the authorities whether there are 2 witnesses or not!

  and this is new thinking!

  some thing interesting now begins to rear its very ugly head.

  Given the jw penchant for gossip anyone seen showing any affection to kids or giving gifts will now be likely put up as ...someone to watch.... because the jw uber class will now be 105% experts in detecting abuse or intended abuse.

  Imagine a caring person going to the kh and sitting like crash dummy ignoring all the kids so they wont be considered...one of them...
