  I just noticed, with the 6/15 WT last year, they 'apostasised" themselves

  up to the 10/95 awake it had on the fine print about the generation of 1914, it was erased from then on.

  the 11/95 watchtower then said this on page 17, "eager to see the end of this evil system, jehovah's people have at times speculated about the time when the "great tribulation" would break out, even tying this to calculations of what is the lifetime of a generation since 1914. however, we "bring a heart of wisdom in," not by speculating about how many years or days make up a generation..... .

  so they pretty much blame the membership for believing that those alive since 1914 or what makes the generation on them for believing, even though they themselves had taught it.

  Don't forget; if you vocalized the current belief of what a "generation" is prior to it being put into print by the evil empire you would be disfellowshipped for being an apostate.

  "Why Love Never Fails"....Giving the talk tonight. Help?

  jeez....i if this was about two years ago, i could have put this talk togather lickety split.

  but i'm finding it impossible because i can't bring myself to put in phrases such as "god's true people", "love motivates us to....." , etc, etc.

  every sentence i add, i just want to throw up because it's all such...pish posh and falsehoods and hypocrisy.

  having been a born in for 44 years i can say yes to this question.

  my 2 sisters and 1 brother and my dad have nothing to do with my family now we have made our stand against the jw's.

  i was always downtrodden at school for been a jw.

  If you were a born-in, like me, you can blame your parents. Raised in the evil empire and guilted into baptism at age 15. I bought into it all until I was right around 30 (I was a company man ministerial servant from age 19).

  Due to my career choice, I could have really used the extra 10 years. Not to mention I regret never enlisting in the military.

  Look at the Jewish culture at the time those words were allegedly spoken. Children were to growup, marry, have kids of their own and keep the family farm/business going. This is a complete 180 of how those who were part of "The Way" allegedly lived.

  Those who made up the first congregation allegedly sold all their belongings, pulled their resources, and lived like a hippy commune so that they could publicly preach. After all, they were living in the last days. The end was nigh.

  I'm sure that really pissed off a lot of parent and in-laws. In a sense, it was a lifestyle completely opposite of how they were raised. However, Jesus did not say, "For whomever refuses to shun their family members because they are non-believers shall not inherit the kingdom."

  How come you have to wait on Jehovah? Shouldn't he be faster than you?

  if jehovah created the universe, knows it all, et cetera, and then he has a direct line to the governing body, how come you're always told to "wait on jehovah"?

  can a simple earthling be faster in his or her reasoning than yhwh?

  can s/he notice something jehovah will miss?.

  "Wating on Jehovah" is code for: "We cannot allow a rank-and-file member of the Other Sheep Class looking smarter than the Governing Body." So, know your role and shut your mouth.

  This is the ultimate proof that it's all about worshipping the Governing Body and not a God. Why would Jehovah want anyone disfellowshipped for being right? Are we to believe the Almighty would want us to publicly accept something false simply to show subjection?

  A lie is the intentional misleading or deception of another. Satan is the "Father of the Lie". So, who are they actually telling people to serve by waiting on Jehovah?

  crap..... now i can't think of anything... .

  uh, wait a sec..... take one young upstart greenhorn clothing store magnate who reads the bible and has tons of arrogance and self-righteousness.. marinate him in a "doomsday" atmosphere, such as a "second-day adventist" environment, until he's thoroughly loopy.... carefully extract him from that stew and place him carefully in a special echo-box surrounded by yes-men,.

  throw in a few "end-times" dates, and let the whole mix simmer, occasionally adding a few suckers - er, followers, until the end time runs out - er, the timer runs out..... let him stew in his own juices, exposing him to a hot kitchen warmer as the embarrassment of his false predictions puts heat on him.... then bake in an oven of heated public opinion, due to his scandalous behavior towards an underage girl and his very public divorce.. serve with half-truths and contradictions.... next up - baked rutherford steeped in whiskey - gin - wine - beer - and whatever else you've got, that's alcoholic!!.

  i distinctly remember more than 30 years ago asking my grandfather how all of the races came about after the flood.. "well, noahs three sons were black, white, and oriental, and thats how all of the races came to be".

  wtf, i thought to myself, even as a 9 year old kid.

  a few years later i remember sitting in the kh listening to the sunday talk when the speaker went over the old "water canopy" theory, but of course presented it as fact.
