Give a Man a Fish...
by truth_b_known ingive a man a fish and he will eat for a day.. teach a man to fish and he will eat for a lifetime.. give a man a watchtower that explains to him he will starve until jehovah's new world comes and you are faithful in the eyes of the watch tower society.
to help that starving man by being charitable and feeding him you show a lack of faith in god's kingom.. how i stayed in for as long as i did i will never know why and will always regret..

WTBS and Appealing a Civil Judgement
by truth_b_known inin light of the candice conti civil trial against the wtbs and the pro-jehovah's witness/apologist comments posted on various news websites, i thought i would give a simplified explanaition of what is involved in appealing the outcome of a trial in the courts of the united states.. a trial, whether criminal or civil, usually ends with a verdict rendered by a jury.
in a criminal case the verdict is guilty or not guilty.
that same jury may decide the punishment in the event of a guilty verdict.. in a civil case a jury must decide based on the evidence whether the defendant is guilty of damaging the plaintiff.

The Governing Body Paradox
by truth_b_known inafter briefing reading the original post on this thread http://www.jehovahs-witness.net/watchtower/beliefs/224030/1/do-i-have-this-right i asked myself the following question:.
the watch tower bible & tract society publishes in its writings, as of late, that the governing body/faithful & discreet slave must be obeyed to gain jehovah's salvation and favor.
the gb/fds are comprised of imperfect, spirit guided men whose teachings are to be accepted as truth.

Do Not Let Your Opponent Define You...
by truth_b_known ini recently went to a class offered by my local chamber of commerce that teaches people how to run an election campaign.
i did this because a good friend of mine asked me to assist him in getting elected to a local county office.
i'm highly involved in politics, now, and thought it would be something fun to do.. one point that really struck a chord with me went something like this:.
