MY FATHER WAS AN ELDER AND LET ME TELL YOU OUR FAMILY DID MORE FIGHTING GETTING OUT THE FRONT DOOR TO GO TO THE MEETINGS, AND SERVICE. MY MOTHER ALWAYS BLAMED SATAN AND DEMONS FOR THE BAD SPIRIT IN OUR HOUSE AND I WAS ALWAYS SITTING IN THE MEETINGS UPSET AND THE SERVICE I DIDN'T WANT TO DO, BECAUSE I ALWAYS FELT LIKE WE WERE HYPOCRITES. MY MOTHER DABBLED IN SPIRITISM PRIOR TO OUR FAMILY BECOMING JW'S. MY FATHER AND I ALWAYS LOCKED HORNS AND BEING IN THE 'TRUTH', WAS ENOUGH TO GIVE U A MENTAL AND EMMOTIONAL BREAKDOWN, WHICH I SUFFERED THREE TIMES OVER THE YEARS. YOU SEE THE WORD HYPOCRITE IN ALOT OF HOMES OF JWS.
WELL FLOWER HAVE A HAPPY NEW YEAR, THAT MEANS THE TAKING CARE OF YOURSELF AND LOOKING FOR NEW FRIENDS AND TALKING TO RECUPERATING XJWS.

commenting on Ike being raised as a JW. This is true and in fact Ike's mother was one who professed to be of the remnant.
You mentioned the pyrimid of the ages. Known as the Divine Plan of the Ages. I have a an original copy of the Chart of the Ages. If you like I could scan it and send it to u a copy. Let me know.
Its suprising to see how many people over the Society's History were JWs. that were in positions of prestige. Well I think people that are xjws learn quite abit about things that went on in the early times of the organization, including the fact they celebrated xmas. I enjoy learning tidbits on the organization, if u have any to share i would like to hear some. Is it true for example was Brother Percy gay. I met him on two different occasions in my earliers yrs. Yet Another New Member

i have been raised in the "truth" and have been hating it for a very long time.
the congregation that i attend is a snake pit, full of judgemental, brain-washed witnesses who will report your every move.

This is a place where u can feel better, Lots of good people here, I am also new here and i find that those i have chatted with are A ok. Your inner conscience is bothering you because that is how they the(organization)controls you and you fear that there will be major reprecutions from your choice to leave. I just ordered a book written by Franz, it sounds really helpful. Your biggest hurdle will be your family and your friends perhaps friends you've had for years. Yes it will be hard but don't despair it will get better as time goes by and a big burden will be lifted from your mind. And don't think there won't be ones who envy your choice, because there are alot of unhappy JWs who feel trapped and they are
afraid to make a break away. I know this to be so as my family doc. told me that the JWs patients he has are happy i made the break away and they say they don't have the courage to do it, but would like to.
I was a third generation witness and i pioneered served where the need was greater. I was active in all areas of the truth, and i was married to a man who was a hypocrite and one day i couldn't take it anymore, so I got help from doctors lawyers and social workers who were the most wonderul people I have ever met and they truly cared for my well being. The marriage I was in lasted 27 years and I was divorced a yr later.I am now married to a wonderful man who is truly genuine in every aspect of life. Yes I lost my family, and friends i had for over 35 years. Yes my decsion to leave anguished me for a long time and as i said, it will get better with the passage of time. Enjoy your new free will and live life to the fullest without worry that when you do something no one can say anything to you and look over your shoulders and tell on you. I guarantee you will be a happier person. And let me at this time wish you a very MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!Enjoy it and be free.

Law suits for ex-Bethelite question????
by lookin indoes anyone know of any legal recourse an ex bethelite can take for being asked to leave because of being hurt at work while serving at bethel?

Christmas Songs vs Kingdom Songs
by joelbear ini went to see a friend play piano in a christmas play yesterday and for the first time it struck me how similar the melody and cadence to some of the christmas ballads are to kingdom songs.. anyone else noticed this?.

i noticed it too years ago when they came out with the Kingdom Melodies. Did you know that in the early years of the organization they celebrated christmas and sang carols in the bethel? befor the purple song book came out many of the songs in the old green song book had songs that were similar to church music. but i still think some of the songs sound christmasy
