years ago, when my mom was alive, she was very active.

in the door to door work.

she always had bible studies.. but she started noticing a change in the kind of people.

Boy my son I just love your comments, but sweetie you are not using the dictionary are you? In reality rich is a real good kid considering our personal life was messed up and dysfuncional. He is right though ppl need to believe and have faith and Dj and I didn't. A lot of valid points have been made in this thread and the sad thing is it is a mirror of what many of us have been through or have seen when it came to ourselves and other witnesses. My feelings and observation over the years has lead me to believe that if you are not too bright an individual your willing to be a sponge. All the attention that stronger so-called mature Christians meet out to weaker ones is what keeps them needy. The organization never taught people in the org. to deal one on one with a person, they just wanted you to believe in God and the hope of everlasting life and everything would be honky dory in your life. By the time books were published about family life it was too late for many a family to repair itself especially from a mould that was set by the WTS. They tell you preach be at all the meetings even if your dying and in pain, becasuse that is all that matters, and apparently all your problems in life will disappear. How was a person to rise above their problems if they didn't recieve the nurturing promised by the organization and were left to fend for themselves. I know i often sought out the assistance of the elders to deal with difficulties in my marriage, but they don't want to hear that, they say trust in the organization and God and do all that you are suppose to do and everything will work out. What bunk, I have seen over the years that persons with money and prestige are given a higher priiorty, they get invited everywhere with others of their so called class distinction and they never invite the needy or the poor both in a spiritual sense or in a physical sense. I believe that many a witness is synical and phsycotic. They don't know the word balance because true balance doesn't exist in the org. How many witnesses do you know and exjws for that matter who are taking drugs and treatments to deal with the burdens impossed upon them by the org. Many my friends Many!!Your mother was very observant. But was she truly happy?

Second after reading this i agree with alot of it

Thank God i never had Faith or beleaved enough in the Organization or its Backward teachings to even consider myself a part of it

My Dad is still very active in the door to door Prostization of the world and i honestly dont blaim him in anyway he had what i didnt FAith i think no matter how unsuitable i thought a person who i meet when with him as a younger child in the door to door service he always told me it didnt matter as long as they had faith in what we told them

i think thats what the real issue was in the Service it wasnt how many people listend or closed the door on you it was the one that listened and beleaved what you said

i mean i could say im the greatest DJ in the world
but thats not i lie i truly beleave i am *lol*

as long as someone else beleave its then its all good no matter how screawed up they are

i think i lost my point a long time ago oh well

Favorite food at Assemblies

i hated growing up as a witness.

i hated the boring ass meetings where you could hear a pin drop on the floor, i hated going door to door and i hated not being normal like the other kids.. but the one thing i liked was going to the assemlies at the oakland coliseum.

i would wander around and find other kids to goof around with.

What was an assembly food you can't forget? Mine is going back quite a few years ago but we always had salisbarry steak and mashed potatoes and peas and salad. Way back they use to make great pies. and sausages and scrammbled eggs. We use to have three square meals a day, but hey back then assemblies started at 8am and went to 9pm with two hour intervals for your meals. And remember those 8day assemblies five days fours three days and now two and half days and now one days. boy have times changed.....

What did you like about HIGH SCHOOL!

getting stoned and drunk every weekend at a house or creek party,crashing other high school parties,spending the summer at the beach,getting blow jobs more frequently,playing rugby and driving the other guys faces into the ground,no rent,free food,waiting for my parents to go to the meeting on sunday so i could bang my girlfriend for 2 hours!.

these are only a few of my good memories but really sums it all up!.

personnally, i thing that the movie "the matrix" and the movie "the truman show" really describe my experience in the wbts.

when i discovered the truth about the "truth", my perception of the reality became really different.

all that i have been taught was just a big lie.

My Parents just bought Crisis of Conscience!!
