answering the door nekkid...
by Angst ini remember several times in the past knocking on doors in the ministry and some bodacious babe would answer the door naked, semi-naked, or extremly suggestively dressed.
how many of you guys/gals has this happened to?.
i think i'm going to answer the door naked the next time some witness sisters show up at my front door....lol i can't wait.

How have u dealt with friends, family after leavin
by Leander ini made a effort to break free a few months back and it was extremely difficult.
my wife brokedown crying at the meetings, which triggered the elders and her family (my inlaws) to begin a campaign to win me back.
whats worse is that most of my friends and my family still don't know about that incident, so i know when i make the decision to move on that once everyone else knows it will be probably unbearable.

when I left the congregation and was disfellowshipped in January 2000 I lost my entire family. Plus most of my relatives all and all I have been alinated by 33 family members. The only other 5 members have been disfellowshipped eons ago and I really never knew them very well. So basically I am very alone except for a few friends and my marvelous hubby. I divorced my first husband after 28 yrs of marriage. If you want to call it that. He was a fanatical mind manipulating, person who caused me great anguish and three nervous breakdowns. My family knew what he was like, but that didn't matter to them as it was okay for him to abuse me mentally and emotionally. The only one positive thing that resulted from that disaster was my beautiful son who is now 24 yrs. He is my pride and joy and has stood by me through thick and thin.
So my family has not had any thing to do with me for just over two years and I haven't even run into them. So I have dealt with it as best as I can. At least I am free of the mind-control from both the Organizaton and my ex husband. I am free and I feel wonderful. Life is an adventure for me each and everyday and I wouldn't change that for all the tea in china.HINDSIGHT IS 20/20

of course in britian we drink our pints down the pub.. i have to laught when i'm in europe as they only drink tiny glasses of beer , when you ask for their equivalent of a pint they look at you as if you are some nut case.. anyway i usually get through a couple of bottles of wine and several pints of larger a week.i drink most nights but not too much.. is it true that the legal age for alcohol is 21 in the states?.
i remember celabrating my baptism at 17 with a few pints in the pub.

I have always refered to elders wives as elderettes.
They seemed to know as much as the elders and some of them knew more. -

This morning I recieved an e-mail from our daughter, she had been up all night with worry. Apparently yesterday she spotted smoke on a neighbours property and thought they were burning garabage in barrels. Our daughter lives on a small farm with 56 acres. Anyway as the smoke seemed to get thicker so she called 911 and the town has a volunteer fire brigade and it took them 15 min. to get there. Well the fire wasn't on the neighbours place but at their place. You see a tree apparently was struck by lightning the night before and the fire started and she said a neighbour saw the tree get struck, but didn't think a fire would ensue. Well my daughter lost 20acres of land to the fire, and it got pretty close to their house, but thank God the fire dept. got the fire out by making a back fire. Sharal had to take their animals to the farm across the road. She says that the firemen said that if there had been leaves on the trees they would have had a raging forest fire. The brigade stayed for hours checking for hotspots, seems as if everything is out now. But it sure was an ordeal for them. It was a good thing she was home or they would have lost their house too. Thank God they are all okay and that is all that matters.
