I am outraged, how can they do that to Bill? They are cowards all of them. Let them rot they have to face the people of their town, people will sneer at them for disfellowshipping a man who has upheld the protection of children while they cower in a corner covering up the perverted acts of men and women who have sexually molested children. Who will the people praise? It sure as hell won't be the JWs. No way. Bill you stand tall, be proud you have done the right thing and we are all behind you 100 percent. Boy if I lived in NewYork or were close to it I would walk into that Bethel and demand to see the members GB and let them see what damage they have done to their precious organization and the silentlambs who will never ever let this rest.....their voices will sound all over the world. Go get em you lambs ewe!!!

My uncle was found DEAD this morning

he's taking it hard.
i was shocked to hear him say that he wanted me to be with the family.

Jack the Ripper? Serial Murderer of prostitutes in 1888 in WhiteChapel London England
Dr. Shipman? Serial murderer of widows mostly ill and elderly in England perhaps going on for several decades in the 1970s-90s+ May never have been caught had it not been for an inquistive daughter of a patient her mother who died under strange condtions and who was the picture of health. This mild mannered and so called trusted friendly doctor, wasn't everything he seemed to be. He has murdered over 200 individuals that they know of just for their money!! how goulish.
Peter Sutcliff? Serial killer mimiced the murders of Jack the Ripper in the 1988 in England.
You know when you think about it England has all kinds of sorit things that go on now and way back when I just love thier history.

English elder logs in.
by caspian inhi everyone.. my name is caspian, i am an elder in a congregation in england.. i have been reading this forum for about 12 months, never having the confidence to log in.. however after all the information that has come to light in the recent weeks, i feel that i need to start coming to terms with the crisis that i now feel.. i am a third gen jw, and been an elder for 15 years, my family whom i love dearly are all naive fully committed jw's.. please if any current or ex elders in a similar situation care to make any good advice.

I was a third generation JW my father was an elder, he passed away in 1995. I was disfellowshipped in January 2000, ( I left Dec. 24, 1999).
I have no regrets for the descions I have made. At first the road was tough, I mean I lost all association with my entire family. That is three other devoted sisters and my mother. All my relatives but two are JWs. So it was a lonely ride. But my new husband and the people in this board have been the greatest. I lurked a while until I made my first posting, and now I can't stop posting. You are a brother with a position in the organization, and it will be difficult for you and your loved ones, but you have got to think of your own sanity and well being and then explain in love to your family what is in your heart, and I hope that they stand up with you and understand. Because I think more and more JW are dissillusioned by what they are seeing in the organization. Always be hopeful.
All the best to you. Be strong and any time you need to chat you know we are all here to help. At least most of us are. My thought are with you.

since the days of Jack the Ripper there has been none as notorious as Shipman. There was Peter Sutcluthe?(spelling). And the 2 lads who murdered the young 2 yrs old boy they beat him to death.
Gee whiz Britian has had some pretty rotten killers and without two witness to convict them they would surely be free by WTS standards.

anyway, he was really prim and proper and she was of course, a very submissive wife who barely spoke without her husbands permission.

my favourite one was song 54, Forward Theocratic Warrriors. I do believe it was modified in the pinky song book. Also Sing to God the Lord was not in the pinky song book but was in the green one and then re appeared in the brown one. It was a real oldie.

ELDER'S WIVES AND CHILDREN

some wives lord it over the rest and think they are special , while some kids get away with all sorts of things because of big daddy.
have you ever had a problem because an elder's family got away with something and you got blamed for it?

My father was a devoted elder and never tolerated any nonsense from any of us four girls, we either towed the line or we were out on our asses. My mother has always been devoted to the truth and has never tolerated gossip in any form. In fact she is quite fanatical. Now that my father is dead since 1995 my mother is worse. But I can tell you that there are some elders with families who did think that they were better than everyone else. and their kids were brats. I know plenty true stories about many who misbehaved. I was afraid to misbehave my father would have killed me.
It funny though today I wonder if I would have left the organization if my father was still alive. I still ask myself that question.
Mind you many times my dad was angry with me for something or other. One day he was nice to me and other days he dispised me, and my mother too, they were impossible to please. My mother was worse and she still is. I haven't heard from her since I left and in Dec. 1999 and apparently I found out she has been in the hospital twice quite ill but no one in my family talks to me, so I found out just by chance.
so yes there are some very strict elders and families who live to the letter of the society's rules and regulations. my family was living proof of it.
