Cancer
by Sirona inyou might think i'm being picky here, please dont take this the wrong way.
the thing is, i'm stuggling with my health at the moment and am going in hospital to see if my cancer has spread.. heres my gripe: some people (noone on this board) say to me, over and over, that they know someone who had skin cancer and they're fine now....how they can just remove the mole and everything is fine.
well for the purposes of educating people:.

Education is what we need to be reminded of when it comes to cancer.
Melanoma is a deadly cancer and we need to remember as you said if not caught in time it will spread to major body organs. Sirona thanks for the reminder we all need it and be of good courage.

DID AN ELDER EVER HELP YOU?

many people dislike or can't stand elders, in general.
a number here have been truly hurt by some.

Yes twice. One said he was talking to me not as an elder but as a friend and I was touched by his sincereity because he was a real nice person. He and my father also an elder had had a major disagreement and the other elder left very unhappy yet continued to live in our territory but he and his family travelled about 20 miles to another hall. Sad.
The other one was in Montreal. A very nice brother also kind and and sincere.
I was in the organization nearly 37yrs and I have seen many elders and I can only think of just two and that is sad.

If there was a metal for your bravery I would give it to you Bill. As I was reading my body was trembling and my heart was thumping so hard at every word you said especially when you stood up in the KH and spoke your words with conviction of heart. Bravo!! tears are streaming down my face as I see in my mind the courage you showed.

My blood boiled at WT comment read on CNN
by writerpen ini was going along fine with my glass of ice tea, my cat sitting next to me as bill and the two young ladies were being interviewed.
i even made it okay through the first section of the wt comment that, "we abhor molestation..." but when chung got to the part of their comment that said something to the effect of "we provide counseling and emotional support to victims," i nearly spilled my tea on my cat.
i replayed this segment alot, and noticed that the reaction of bill and the two ladies to that section was that they were just as shocked as i was.

Writerpen now I have heard everything, that JW therapist is, a real husler, talk about being a bitch, not only does she break every law in the code of patient confidentiality but then she knows all the secrets of every JW that goes to her. Who the hell does she think she is an elder or what. She is a low down skunk who wants to use witnesses,to get the dirt on everyone and then she blackmails you from the first visit and she has the gaul to make a person pay her $100.-- an hours Boy some nerve. I can't believe it. How stupid can these JW be going to someone who claims to help you under the ethics of medicine but in reality is a snake in the grass and I am being nice. Because she is a real bastard. Sorry Simon...
I did'nt see the show on television but I can well imagine from the comments made here again that the Society comes up smelling like a skunk cabbage.!! I hope they get what the deserve and then some.

by Aaac innext year, jw's have international conventions at least in switzerland, spain, s africa, japan and australia.
they usually have their big conventions in countries where they desperately need some positive pr, so what is going on in these countries?.
