As a non-JW, the idea of not being able to spend any time alone with your intended before you get married is weird as hell. People are very different one on one than they are in a group. You're not going to know them AT ALL. And if you have to be considering marriage to even date, that pushes things through way too quickly. I just imagine on their wedding night, "So what's your middle name? What do you do for a living? How many siblings do you actually have?"
The Watchtower's general idea that everyone just wants to have sex all the time with anyone who comes with different genitals is super weird. I can imagine an elder saying... "I saw a plumber go into your home. I've seen video proof of what happens when a plumber goes into a woman's home. Do you have some confessing to do?"
