They mislead Bulgaria. Classic theocratic warfare.
I agree with the OP.
It is not up to the local congregation or even the Branch. They cannot "go beyond the things written" by HQ.
i feel like the world needs to wake up and realize that bethel, the home of the governing body in warwick, new york is the "vatican" of the jehovah's witness world.
their doctrines, edicts, and policies affect every jehovah's witness man, woman, and child around the world.
i don't feel like the politicians in foreign countries understand this.

I think back to being a young pioneer and having parents study with their kids, in one case, a person who was my own age. It made for easy time.
olin moyle was a attorney for the wtbts during joseph rutherford reign.
his papers from wtbts are still at princeton in the rare books section and boxed up.
what is the likely hood that that there was political entanglement and that politics did not keep wtbts at arm's length but from time to time has used the wtbts for it's purposes.
JWs would say, "Old light!"
videos from the summer jw conventions ("be courageous) show the "urgency" about the end racheted up several notches.
paranoia rules supreme!.
curiously, though, very few, if any, statements in the convention program about 1914 and the overlapping generations.
I haven't kept track in recent years.
How much do mention 1914 in the Study edition of the Watchtower? Or in the monthly broadcasts?
one of the things that really bothered me is how most of the book of revelation isn't understood by most jws.
most of the trumpets were already sounded many decades ago, is that still right?
it seems like most jws just look the other way.
Some JWs seem to zone out when "deep stuff" is brought up at the meetings. Many more just don't retain it.
They can't even explain or defend their basic doctrine anymore, nor are they equipped to have any meaningful conversation with outsiders about their religion.
has anybody seen this movie yet ?
i really enjoyed it .and i couldn`t help but think of those with literally/poetic skills on this forum while i was watching it .. i would be interested in anybody`s comments reviews either good or bad ..
The challenge of the book is that it is the first person narrative frame of a sea captain, relating the first person narrative of Dr. Frankenstein, who when encountering his amazingly verbose monster, relates his first person narrative. At times, it's three levels deep.
In the 19th century, authors could get away with these things.
I still can't figure out how the monster learned to read by spying on a family through a crack in the floor or wall or wherever he was hiding.
i was at the regional convention and asked an elder why is that at the assemblies their is an accounts report but not at the conventions?
he said, well actually they got a letter and in it said that in a little while they will do away with the accounts report stating how much the assembly costs for the weekend and just go to donation basis like at the conventions.. my first thought was, "they will donate even less now.".
anybody else hear about such a thing?.
I highly doubt it. Donations from assemblies are a prime source of income for the organization.
I used to think that District Overseers were over the Circuit Overseers like the CO was above the elders. But evidently it was never the case...it was a more elevated position, and the DO did review the CO's performance twice a year, but the CO did not report to the DO. Correct me if I'm wrong.
But it's been a moot point for 4 years now.
have you ever found out that your "buddies" from the kingdom hall went out to have fun and did not invite you?
if so how did you feel?.
I can count on one hand the number of real friends I made as a JW.
