If she were just a regular sports person, it wouldn't irk me. She's done nothing wrong in reality.
But...I don't think she really gets what being a JW is or what it is like.
i guess you can be physically out, like in a huge way, but definitely mentally in.. serena williams claims she won't be celebrating her daughter's first birthday.. i did know people like that, raised as a jw but never actually baptizing.
that didn't mean they were not messed up in the head though..

hello to all the active jehovah's witnesses lurking on here, or those having doubts.
seriously, i welcome you.. i was explaining to one of my friends recently about how the watchtower society uses it's members to make them money every day without them even realizing it.
unbelievable?
Good points.
It used to be Kingdom Halls were a local effort and paid for and owned locally. Over the decades, the property ended up in Watchtower's hands.
Now Watchtower is desperate for money to keep afloat.
well today marks the beginning and biggest day of our protest at the london excel.. we believe it's a record number at around 100 exjws at the front door.. we spoke to lots of jw's and one young man studying who has quit after talking to us.
we've been approached privately by jw's who thanked us for coming and the security at the event treated us very well.. if anyone wants to see some clips they are available on my channel the great apostate.. thanks to all for the support and love..
I have to say that does stop to make one think.
hey.
without them i felt...so...alone.
so i went back.
If you have not already, begin to research this organization and its teachings. Read about cults, mind control, the BITE model. If you cannot physically free yourself, mentally free yourself, that way when you are able, you can break the cycle mentally and emotionally and never get sucked back in.

JTrottigy: I'm not sure if you are real or not...the posts are so over the top they are humorous, but if you are the real deal, how about some feedback on this?

so tonight i'm going to be having a chat with my brother and hes asked me what my thought are on the above question.. i could be wrong with what im about to say but i do think the door to door ministry is one thing they are doing right.
i think the cart work on the other hand is wrong.
just today i saw two sisters sat next to their cart with people going by.

At one time, I thought early Christians went door-to-door or house-to-house in the same manner JWs do. But it doesn't hold up when you examine the "prooftexts". In reality, it turns out Christians held meetings or studies in the private homes of various believers, "according to houses".

If this is for real...what do you say when you call the congregation? And the secretary just gives you, a stranger, this information?
Do you tell them you run an "unauthorized" JW website? And what do they say to that? Since this is officially against the direction of the Governing Body (at least in print and in talks), how do you get elders to assent to giving you the information? And if you do not tell them of the reasons for your information request, are you truly being honest? And for those in the EU...does this comply with their information sharing laws?
our whole congregation was excited as we stood in front of our brand new kh and smiled for the photographer from the local newspaper.. for years we had been travelling 30 mins each way to attend the meetings and now, after a big effort of donations and hard work we finally had our own kh in our own town.
in the picture, there were 45 smiling faces of all ages, from the newborn to the old brother that had turned 100 and everyone in between.
the year was 1978.. the congregation grew and shrank over the years, probably hitting its peak during the 80's and 90's, there was even a renovation in the early 90's that the local brothers donated towards, for the benefit of the local town to hear the good news about the imminent arrival of the end.
This is the future of every Kingdom Hall.
so i wont get into why i asked my jw wife to leave... theres another thread for that lol... but more out of pure curiosity i asked her just now... "in order to save this marriage would you leave the jws?
", it was a snap call no, like not even a second to pause and think about it, which kinda took me back a bit, followed by a angry "why would you ask me that now?
" (shes going out witnessing with my kids and her friends).
Whatever you do, don't play the part of the "opposer".
JWs are indoctrinated to expect "persecution" or opposition from non-JW family...and there is a very low-bar for what constitutes this in the JW mindset. When, in their perception, they receive "family opposition", it reaffirms the belief system. It can also cause the "backfire" effect and make her more entrenched.
One of the three grounds for separation is "spiritual endangerment". I've seen the "spiritual endangerment" card played, in some cases, encouraged by the elders.
I'm sure when she went out in field service, she told her car group about this, and they were there to support her through this 'trial'.
