Elder says that there're apostates who are organized in Spain
by cattails inan elder said that there are apostates organized in spain to make the sale of the spanish branch money go to the congregations that provided the funds.
he has photos of the place from an email and had heard this from a circuit overseer who just visited there.
has anyone heard confirmation of this?.

Star Trek

Babylon 5 was phenominally better than Star Trek can ever think about being. The only thing that comes close to B5 is the latest incarnation of BattleStar Galactica. DS9 would rank a close third.
But, being a fan of anything Sci-Fi, including Star Trek, I'll be seeing the movie tonight.

My appraised vlaue has jumped 15% in the last two years. I'm under no illusion that It could possible sell it for that much though. This is on a house i paid slightly over 200K for in 06. 3500 Sq. Ft.
The housing market in that price range is pretty stable. One down the street from me just sold after being on the market for 6 months.
Starter homes, anything under 130K are taking a beating. Houston area.

i know there was for me.. i had been having doubts for years, and had stopped believing it was the truth.
but i labored on as a jw, in part because of my family, and in part because i had invested so much of myself in it.

Two elders in my home telling me that going back to school was a waste of time and that it would get me nothing but minimum wage jobs with my wife nodding in agreement.
Now that I've quadrupled my income with benefits in a reccession proof job, learned how to fly, bought one of the biggest houses on my block, and the wife doesn't have to work amongst other things, I can only imagine where I'd be if I'd have taken their advice and "concentrated on my ministry"!

So I went to dinner with a big group of Witnesses last night - No Biblical discussion or WT talk of any kind
by BonaFide inthere were 20 in the group from 3 congregations.
it was kind of a "special talk" special meal with the speaker and his wife.. no one, i mean no one, not the elders there, nor the pioneers, talked about anything "spiritual.
" everything was about work, entertainment, personalities in the congregation, and music.
