  I'am in the Penalty Box! I asked the Circuit Overseer "Who Donates Blood For Jehovah's Witnesses Blood Fragments".

  told my husband to put a muzzle on my mouth over the blood dogma.

  we all were driving around in field service when the topic of "which fragments would you take if you were in a car accident or cut yourself badly".

  said his choice is a personal one, another sister with chronic health problems said she had no problem with the governing body's new light on taking various fragments.

  What a shame it is that people with that level of intelligence are put in charge of counseling others on life and death decisions.

  What gives you away as a (former) JW?

  these days my jw past stay safely under wraps from nearly everyone.. i dont dig it up- and i see no need to talk about it with anyone.. sometimes i feel as if my past is a large and terrible secret, and i will be found out eventually.

  people can sense i am different.

  i never talk about my family.. i guess people chalk it up to being a private person or let me be a mystery.. however, there is one thing that i feel completely reveals me as having been raised a jehovahs witness:.

  Don't have a problem wrapping gifts. Wife asks me to do it on the occassion that she is giving a gift to someone a the KH for some occasion they're allowed to participate in.

  You'd never know in general conversation tht I was an former JW.....

  .....until you try to ask me which congregation I go to or try to corner me on some idiot JW point.

  My Jimi Hendrix experience

  as a 13 year old a friend of mine had a jimi hendrix record and told me if we play it backwards that they said words.

  he bought the record from a shop not far from where we lived and we were the only family that still had a record player.

  so we played the record and i spun it backwards andnothing happened.

  Reminds me of the big scare over the ole Proctor and Gamble logo.

  I remember my silly ass jw mother-in-law throwing out every product she had with that logo on it........

  .......and buying them all again after a couple of weeks because they were the best products for the application.

  Using the name Jehovah when praying

  i know of number of jws who believe that if anyone doesn't address god as jehovah when praying that the prayer really goes to satan... especially if you pray to someone else (jesus, for example).. i haven't been able to find that specific teaching in wt literature.

  they do say that we are to pray only to jehovah, but i haven't been able to locate a publication that says the prayer really goes to satan if you don't.. is there such a reference?.

  I overheard my wife using that rationalization with someone.

  So, I asked her....all these years our son was calling me dad instead of my first name, was he talking to Satan as well?
