  Funny story from when we were leaving.

  a couple of weeks ago my wife and i took a vacation to celebrate our anniversary.

  we spent one day on the beach with some wine and had a long and wonderful conversation about the courses our lives had taken.

  she reminded me of something that had happened as we were escaping, and after reading the post from ray franz, i thought i'd relate to the board.. in the spring of 1988 i had reached the end of my rope with the wt.

  Every accusation is investigated. It is not taken lightly even if there is only one accuser.

  And what credentials do those "unpaid servants" aka the three stooges have that gives them the authority or the experience to "investigate" an accusation such as this.

  Brother investigator: "did you do it brother poedephile?".

  Brother Poedephile: "Uuuuhnnnnnn....no I didn't."

  Brother investigator to child molested: "He said it didn't happen, now sit down, shut up, pray more about it, then wait on Jehovah. He'll set the matter straight."

  Yeah...Right !!!!!!!

  If there is only one accuser and the accused denies the charge, no further congregational action can be taken , we can't go beyond the scriptures.

  How do they reconcile not going to the police with this matter immediately with "not going beyond scriptures"? What ever happened to following the laws of caesar by "giving him his due'?

  Brother investigator to child's parents: " Brother paedophile denies that it ever happened. I'm not calling your child a liar and I'm not telling you not to go to the police but you really don't want to do anything to cause reproach on Jehovah's name....right? You know what happens to people who cause reproach on Jehovah's name......DON'T YOU !!!!"

  How should we view the victim? Often they are damaged for years. They may feel worthless, unlovable. We need to reassure them of Jehovahs love and of ours. (Ezek 34:15,16; Ps 34:18) Jehovah really cares and we should strive to imitate him. When we meet and speak with victims we need to clothe ourselves with love. ( Col 3:12) Let them feel our genuine love. (1 Th 5:14) As elders we should always be alert to show loving concern for children.

  Yes, let's show them and the congregation our genuine love by keeping silent about the knowledge that there is a paedophile in our midst...ohhh, except for my wife and family. Sure, let's stick our head in the sand and look the other way as we accompany brother paedophile out in service to scope out his next victim. The extent of our GENUINE LOVE to those worldlies is working to pull then into our book publishing and selling corporation, other than that we have no responsibility toward them as good neighbors.

  Over the years there have been many favorable reports of our work. Conventions, Kingdom Hall constructions etc.. that have been quite helpful to Gods organization. On the other hand at times news reports may quote apostate or unreliable sources.

  Ahhh yes. When the press is good, it's favourable and helpful to the organization; When the press is bad, it's those DAMN APOSTATES again. What a crock. Just another example of them trying to have their cake and eat it to. All of those news reports connot possibly be "misrepresentations". Can we count the faviorable press as "misrepresentations" also?

  Were Jehovahs Witnesses to immerse themselves in refuting all false charges made against them, they could also fall into a trap of the great accuser Satan the Devil, How so? Well, Satan would certainly be pleased to see a slowing down in the work of aiding honest-hearted persons to learn the truth. Yet that is exactly what would happen. By letting themselves become sidetracked, Jehovahs servants would lose valuable time that might otherwise have been used beneficially to help sincere persons to learn about Gods will and purposes respecting mankind

  One could argue that a hundred years of false prophesying and the information medium known as the internet is slowing down the "work". It's all about putting the needs of the WT multilevel marketing scheme above anything else. (sarcasm on again) No need to be "sidetracked" or "losing valuable time" by seeing to it that a molested child is protected that the the full measure of the law is brought to bear on the molester." (sarcasm off) That in itself would serve even better to not bring "reproach on Jehovah's name" by ensuring that an issue of this magnitude be handled by people with real experience, authority, and qualifications. Not all of your "unpaid volunteers" are equipped for "every good work".

  Just how much time would be lost by one phone call to the police anyway.

  Also, isn't it slick how the WTBS formulate directives, expect them to be followed to the letter, and then in the very next breath distance themselves from any responsibility of said directive by their use of the term "Jehovahs Witnesses" in the above caption. Great way to continue the illusion of the WT being an all-perfect organization that sannot possibly make a mistake.

  Therefore we will ignore the lying misrepresentation by opposers as we are assured by Jehovah that we are walking well.

  How is that you are "assured" that you are "walking well"? Which Bible scripture gives you definitive scriptural proof of this assurance? Further, will all paedophile accusations now be categorized as "lying misrepresentations by opposers" to be ignored?

  At this juncture I'm reminded of those three monkeys........you know..........the ones that "see no evil, hear no evil, and speak no evil......".

  As we live in this wicked system we know who it is that truly tries to live in harmony with Gods righteous standards.

  We good....everyone else bad....blah blah blah.........!!!!!!!! Yeah-right. The isolated depends generation degerates in their ivory tower in Brooklyn proved that by jumping in bed, humping, and exchanging bodily fluids with the UN. Aren't you proud to be in such accomplished company? (was that sarcam again...)

  The instructors have been directed to take no questions regarding the comments in this letter, no copy will be provided for the congregation file.

  Translation:

  Now just in case you haven't got the message before, follow these rules...TO THE LETTER.........AND SHUT UP....Biiiioooooootttttccchhhh!!!!!! If you don't like it, don't let the door hit you in the ass on your way out, we have no time for answering questions about our directives. Further, no copy of this letter will be provided as we want no other discussion or interpretation of this matter.

  Now..go back to your Kingdom Hall meditate and show the congregation all this LOVE shown on your behalf.

  4th Generation Witnesses and Maybe more ?

  just read a thread about a guy being a forth generation witness and a question came to mind.

  how is it that jw's can rationalize the end being always "just around the corner" when there is soon to be 4th, 5th, and maybe 6th generation witnesses?

  just how is it that the previous generations can continue to follow so blindly after one failed prediction after another of never getting old in this "system of things"?.

  Just read a thread about a guy being a forth generation witness and a question came to mind. How is it that Jw's can rationalize the end being always "just around the corner" when there is soon to be 4th, 5th, and maybe 6th generation witnesses? Just how is it that the previous generations can continue to follow so blindly after one failed prediction after another of never getting old in this "system of things"?

  I ask this because in the few years that I've known that the WT or JW's even existed, that their interpretive "truth" of the last generation has changed at least four times that I know of. First it was those that understand the significance of 1914, to those who saw the events of 1914, to those who were born in 1914, to the now current and new improved "truth" of the generation that witnesses bible prophecy as it related to armageddon. This new "understanding" pretty much moves them right in line with most other Christian denominations which negates a large percentage of the other dogma's they whole so dear. At this rate, they'll soon be celebrating Christmas and other Holidays and acting as if the beliefs they held yesterday never happened.

  Further, if this is the new "truth" as they see it, what of all those old "truths". Can those old truths be classified as lies now that there is new "understanding" of the issue or is it explained away as understanding by men of good conscious and intentions that has progressed? If everything in the JW world is black or white and never shades of grey, does not yesterdays old discarded truth make it todays forgotten lie? And if it is classified as a lie, aren't they by extension calling God himself a liar since they claim both divine inspiration and of being the only channel of communication between God and man?

  Just a few things I've been thinking about.......

  Great letter, but I fear that when he finally gets to the part where the WT activities are exposed, his brain will shut down just as it's programmed to do. They are so blinded by their self-righteousness, they'll most likely find a way to justify what they're doing even though they know they're wrong.

  I married a stranger, did you?

  in my current life i know a lot of people who live together.

  some of them might have done this because they do not like marriage, and others have done this as a step towards getting married.

  in all, in my post-witness life i find that i have no problem with either view.

  My wife was quiet for a minute and then stood up and walked out of the room. I set thinking that she might be crying or struggling with my thoughts. Then she came back with a trash bag in hand, looked me in the face and said, "thank God you said it first, now lets throw away all these stupid books." We took the books to the dumpster, every single one of them that night.

  My God !!!!!

  You are one lucky dude to have a woman like that at your side. She is definetely a keeper. The only thing that I could think of that would've made this better is if she came clean first.

  Sadly, I think this is the state of a lot of JW marriages. Both parties want to get out, but through the conditioning of the org, neither wants to make the first move for fear of how the other would react. So, you're trapped, together but always in suspicious of the other.

  Are All Non-JW's "Worldly"

  after speaking with my jw friend, i asked "do you consider me a worldly person and not a true christian?".

  they asked "what do you mean and where did you hear that".

  i said that i had gotten into a conversation with some former (you all) jw's and they said that even though i attend church, jw's don't accept me as a 'true' christian and i'm called a worldly person.

  This JW friend of your pulled the old "bait and switch" tactic. JW are very good at what you call "hemming and hawwing" around the true answers to hard hitting question in their quest to always portray the Org in a positive light. You're being played bigtime. For him to feign not knowing what the word "worldly" means is ludicrious as the word is lavishly used and splashed all over their literature.

  Ask your friend again the same question and remind him that Jehovah hates liars

  After you that ask him if it's true that they basically see you as bird food after armageddon.

  After-meeting conversations

  to be able to properly "encourage one another, more so as you behold the end drawing near", we as jw's were instructed to do the following: .

  (1) stay after the meeting for "upbuilding association", and .

  (2) rather than talk about mundane things of life, discuss the finer points of the meeting just held.

  It got to the point where I actually found myself running out the door during the song leaving skid marks in the driveway on my way out of the parking lot. Didn't want to hear the usual "we missed you at the meeting......., let's do field service" questioning from those brothers who claime to have my best interests at heart.

  Not very "spiritual" of me.

  Resurection of billions will bring famine

  when billions of people resurect, in flesh and bone, their bodies will again need a source of energy: food.

  the world will be seriously overpopulated overnight and food will become scarce; should we expect cattle rustlers, gangs, tribal wars?

  will history repeat itself?

  Perhaps there would be no need for food since you'll eventually grow to perfection.

  With the necessity of food up in the air, just maybe this perfect body will create no waste.

  Since this perfect body may not create waste, it begs to reason that no human will have the use or need of an a$$hole.

  Since a$$holes and opinions go hand in hand, no one would have an opinion, At All,......ABOUT ANYTHING !!!!!!

  Upon reflection, I think I'd prefer putting up with the $hit of this world. It appears to be a lot more interesting than vegetating away possibly for an eternity in the sanitary mythical world the "sock puppet" would have you believe is always just around the corner.
