Ordained Ministers of J.W. part 1

baptisms are usually performed at assemblies.at the conclusion of the baptism talk,the baptism candidates are asked two q.affirmative answers qualifies the candidates as ordained ministers of j.w..we all have seen some candidates as young as 13 years,some as young as 12 years and even some as young as 9 years old.now in the eyes of the wbts these are qualified ordained ministers.. to my way of thinking these ordained ministers should be qualified to give sound advise or council.example,a 17 year old teenage boy has a problem with masturbation and is seeking advise.do you think he would receive sound advise on his masturbation problem from a 9 year old ordained minister of j.w.

(girl).in other religions this ordained minister would be qualified but i don't think a j.w.

I would just like to stick up for all the 14 year olds that are not picking out baby clothes or being thrown into a cult, but are becoming responsible young adults, learning and growing without the pressure of trying to convert anyone into a religion they are not mature enough to fully know about.

Thank you. Not all teenagers who are not geting dunked at WT conventions are running causing the mayhem and trying to screw every and each other in site.I'd say that a large majority of them are working on becoming responsible adults contrary to what those old geriatric in Brooklyn lead their apologists to believe.

District Convention Observations

this year, i again accompanied my jw wife to one day (sunday) of the district convention this weekend.

for any who are interested, i offer these observations from the sunday afternoon session:.

a couple of things about the audience struck me as interesting.

I've watched a tape of that drama that was given at one of the assemblies in Houston. In that rendition, the character Al was white.

I had to bite my tongue hard when the line to the effect of Nobody can really love you unless they love jehovah crap was mimed.

i read this in friday's paper and thought how all would be commenting on how jehovah protects his people.....of course nothing is ever said all the many other times bad things happen, then its always satans fault..... .

The desperation of JWs hoping the end comes "soon"

i'm starting to sense a certain desperation among jws, that they feel that the great tribulation must start soon.

i think this is due, in many cases, to their own personal situation, financial or otherwise.. if the gt doesn't come soon, and these guys really start to suffer - what then?

the watchtower's promises that "jehovah would not forsake them if they put kingdom interests first" by skipping or dropping out of college, turning down promotions, "simplifying" their lives by selling their homes and moving to the hinterlands...will all prove to be meaningless.. if the gt doesn't come soon, and "jehovah" doesn't bail them out...then what?.

It's really funny watching JW kids who haven't been taught selective verbalization skills blast everyone around them with one of the WT truthful gems.

It's even funnier watching the adults hem and haw trying to clean up what their kid just said.

My notes on the new Creation DVD

i was given a copy of the new wonders of creation dvd.

as i watched it, i made some notes, which i have included below.

i'm not sure they make any sense without actually seeing the dvd, but hopefully they give an idea of the general contents and the sort of arguments that are used.. .

My wife practically harassed the hell outta me to watch this tape with her. Your notes on this DVD are right on, I was thinkingmany of the same things while watching it.

In all, it's just another very slickly produced WT puff piece, soon to be gathering dust on a shelf with all their other digital garbage.

I know a couple of elderly JWs who are about to outlive the meager retirement they had. The father has successfully alienated all his kids such that they never visit. They are sitting in a house packed up with so much junk it should be on a Clean House episode.

All they ever do is call into meetings and watch TV. Sitting around deteriorating waiting for Arm-a Geddon to get them outta here.

South Park -Issac Hayes {Chef} left show due to Scientology episode...dies due to stress!

read his bio...the south park episode made fun of scientology and tom cruise... at first issac said in radio interviews that he as a scientologist was not offended as the creators of the show "make fun of everyone...that's what they do.

" however, some time later issac claims he was quiting the show because of "religious bigotry" .......scientologists must have got to him!

stressed out due to lacking funds after quiting, he was forced like michael jackson to organise a number of tours.

Isaac Hayes with respect to his stint in South Park was as hipocritical as they come. He had no problem accepting those big checks as long as they were making fun of everyone else, but when they took their swipe at Scientology, now all of a sudden "the Duke" wants to get all sanctimonious.

The South Park writers skewered his ass in a later episode. That skewering was sell deserved.
