What was your turning point?

for me, it was after watching the video, "jehovah's witnesses; a non-prophet organization," and the point on how the org puts itself in a place between jesus and mankind.
a position which does not exist scripturally.

can someone explain to me why a witness can't go and buy a lottery ticket for himself, but can keep a ticket they find on the ground or keep a ticket they receive as a gift from a worldly person.. that's the explaination the witnesses gave me when i joined many years ago.. if it's a sin to play lotto, why can they accept a ticket as a gift or keep one they could find?.

Why don't JW's Fast ????

there are references in the bible to jesus fasting and prayfully meditating.. so my question then is why don't jehovahs witnesses as an organization ask their members to fast?.
why don't you ever hear about fasting at the kh?.

OK Bible Researchers
by Why Georgia inas some of you know my husband is a fading away jehovahs witness.. today we were having a theological debate and i need some help.. can anyone point me in the correct direction to when the witnesses stopped treating african americans as lower class people?
i'm looking for a date and any references to how they felt about african americans before they flip flopped.. also...... my husband believes that there were times that jesus' apostles gave out the wrong information.
this came up because i said i don't believe the watchtower is god's organization because they have had so many wrong dates and prophecies and flip flops - wouldn't god's true organization get it right the first time.. so any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated.. thank you!.

OF COURSE THIS WAS RARE AND NOT AN EARTH SHAKING PROPHECY OF GREAT IMPORTANCE, THAT IS THERE VIEW OF JOHN'S FUTURE.

you know that jws go door-to-door but how many people do they really reach?
we drive tons of cars and could reach people every day with a simple message and a link to a website like this.

DF'D WITNESS GETS THE BETTER OF DUB
by Mary inoh man, this is hilarious.......a friend of mine who left the borg a few years ago and is now df'd, was making a delivery (he's a truck driver) to a company where they're all witnesses.
he knew they were dubs, but they had no idea he used to be one.
as he was finishing his delivery, one of them says to him "did you know that jesus did not celebrate his birthday on december 25th?

As I was getting out of the Witnesses an Elder from another congregation called on me and asked if he could speak to me privately. I said sure, come up to my office. He then asked why I was not following the Bible's clear command to not forsake the gathering of ourselves together by going to the meetings.
I asked him why he did not follow the Bible also. He said what do you mean, I follow the Bible. Well I said, the Bible is quite clear that we should 'greet the brothers with a holy kiss'! When was the last time you did that?
Then I told him to hit the road and don't come back!
