Oh there is daystar, but you wouldn't believe it if I told you about answers to specific prayers, and lots of other stuff that has happened to me in my life. Do you expect me to believe there is no god because some ex-JW's (who were deluded most of their lives as it is) has the answers to all things theological?

Still a Christian, and advocate Christianity although I do not have the answers to all my questions. Very much ant-Watchtower though. My belief in Christ is because of the great changes I have seen in individuals espousing Christianity. Doctrines and prophecy are 'no man's land' most of the time. Like one friend said, "When my 12th, candidate for the 'Anti-Christ' died, I quit trying to guess who it was"!

My wife gives the book (with 6 eyes on the cover) a two thumbs up! You also are able to identify different ones you have come into contact with over time, possibly even family who have sociopath qualities. It's a protection for you.

i am primarily posting this to barbara anderson, but obviously everyone is welcome to correct or comment on my remarks as they see fit.
mrs. anderson, i realize that trying to cover all bases in your pending russell bio would be impossible, but i do hope that you will be able to include a section on the first president of the watch tower society, william h. conley.
i hope that you have had a chance to research conley with some degree of thoroughness, so as to dispel some of the half-truths that some bible students and jws try to promote (such as that conley's age and health caused his inactivity with russell after 1881).
Russell was favorable to the Jews origionally, and taught the Jews Return to Palestine doctrine as coming from God. Several years ago a book on Pastor Russell by a David Horawitz (sp?) was published because of that fact. Also, there was much more information on him but unfortunately I have misplaced this book I once had. Maybe it would be available from someone dealing in used/older books.

towards the end of my time as a jw, i must confess to cheating whilst out on field service.. 1. i would turn up at the field service arrangement with my wife, and we would say that we were working together that day to do return visits.
as everyone went out, we would simply get into our car and drive home.
(hypocritical i know).
REMEMBER, WHEN PIONEERING, ANYTHING OVER 40 HOURS CAN BE COUNTED 'TIME AND A HALF'! AND EVEN THE 'WORLD' PAYS YOU FOR COFFEE BREAKS. COULD WE EXPECT ANYTHING LESS FROM GOD'S ORGANIZATION?

a while back three local halls (same building) donated their saved up money to a new hall being built in a nearby town.
appearently the new hall could not get a loan for the work.
well the other halls got together about 50k and gave it to the the new hall with the promise that they would be payed back as the donating hall needed to use the money within the next few months for repairs.
After a Hall is paid off, the Society then owns it! Pretty neat trick huh?

i was reading the other day, that people have become less supportive of natural disaster relief, because they are happening to often.
think about it, since december of last year i think we must be nearing at least a half a million people dying in natural disasters.
we had the tsunami, the hurricanes, the mudslides in central america and now this earthquake in asia.
You ain't seen nothing yet if this so-called 'Bird Flu' hits. Major disaster!
