  for anyone of us familiar with this religion.....we were taught no one knows the day or the hour.

  now should that be a 7000 year day, 1000 year day or 24 hour day, and any predictions concerning this or assuming knowledge of any sort would be exposing them selves as false prophets.. the wbts likely to whip up a frenzy of one sort or another due to clever rhetoric is typical, but all of us "out" know better.

  it usually happens in the fall, ......just like this year.. no one here needs to hold their breath.

  I think he might have left out the part about getting 'heat stroke' out in the sun, and the fact that you would have to watch out for poisoness snakes in the orange groves. Plus, I think now that oranges are not supposed to be shipped out of state due to some citrus disease.

  my grown daughter asked about 1975 the other day.

  she wanted ro knoiw if the society really said the end woukd come back then.

  i told her about the quotes i had read complimenting the ones who had sold houses and were pioneering with the money at that time.

  Rainy Days & Monday Mornings

  most normal people i know and am around, look forward to the weekend and nice weather.

  even though i have not been a publisher for several years now, i still associated weekends with taking the group out in service and baby sitting a lot of the kids from the hall, who the parents dropped off.

  what a pleasure monday mornings were when i could go back to work.. also, nothing was greater than a stormy blizzard in the winter, or a thunderstorm (.

  Most normal people I know and am around, look forward to the weekend and nice weather. Not me! Even though I have not been a publisher for several years now, I still associated weekends with taking the group out in service and baby sitting a lot of the kids from the hall, who the parents dropped off. What a pleasure Monday mornings were when I could go back to work.

  Also, nothing was greater than a stormy blizzard in the winter, or a thunderstorm () in the summer on a Saturday morning. Then I could not participate in regular door to door work. Sat in the coffee shop extra long! (ate doughnuts) (Kids always wanted to go in my car group!)

  Am I weird, or do others of you out there still feel the same today even if you have not been a JW for years now. This must be programmed into my brain even though others think you're a little 'nuts'! I like to think I'm not the only one!

  you might want to consider this letter in the 'questions from readers' section of the watchtower.. my question is this: i would like to join the catholic church and at the same time keep my standing and position in the congregation!

  the reason being is that i have heard that the vatican has a very good and complete library which i would like to avail myself of.

  Dear Brothers,

  You might want to consider this letter in the 'Questions From Readers' section of THE WATCHTOWER.

  My question is this: I would like to join the Catholic Church and at the same time keep my standing and position in the congregation! Can I do this?

  The reason being is that I have heard that the Vatican has a very good and complete library which I would like to avail myself of. I would of course have to refrain from criticizing Catholics and speak well of them, but the benefits are obvious.

  Entertaining yourself during the meetings

  what did you do to entertain yourself during the meetings?

  i always had little games i played.

  to this day i have a fascination with notebooks and write almost compulsively when something is wrong.

  Please Don't Turn On The Gas!

  i've noticed that almost all new kingdom halls are without windows, even in neighborhoods that are quite safe and crime free.

  some have said it's because they do not want you looking out and daydreaming.

  others have said it slows down the two day quick build miracles by at least an hour.. my mother may have hit in on the head when she said, "when the time comes it will be easier for them to 'gas' you!.

  I wonder why the newer factory buildings, and schools, and Watchtower Farms of the Society all have windows in them? That is if it is cheaper to do so, why did they install them?

  this evening i was walking one of my doberman's, he is 103 pounds.

  he was perfectly behaved at my side.

  out of no where an oversized pitbull charges us from across the street.. there was a terrible fight and i'm screaming help, help at the house where he came from.
