  normally, i don't mind where i'm at in my life.

  i'm forty, no kids, low-paying job, live in a trailer court, etc (and trust me there's more to the etc, then i've already mentioned), but today i had a hard time.. one of my best friends from high school was a big dope head (no offense to the dope heads out there).

  he showed up nearly every day to our first period art class smelling of weed and was generally so whacked out of his mind that he got horrible grades.. he finally graduated - barely - and made it to college.

  hi, just want to say to everyone i love this board ive been raised as a witness but im out since i was 18 .

  but today i could really use somebodys advice..

  ive been in several relationships but my last one was truly the love of my life.

  I had an Uncle that found a $50.00 Bill in the Congregation Contribution Box!

  We made him give it back and he could no longer carry the 'mike'!

  far be it from the jehovah's witnesses to talk out of both sides of their mouth.. far be it from jehovah's witnesses to doublespeak.. below is a perfect example of how gods chosen channel of truth has evidently forgotten what they previously stated in the "watchtower" which is their gods own publication for dispensing bible based truths to mankind.. .

  "at times explanations given by jehovah's visible organization have shown adjustments, seemingly to previous points of view.

  but this has not actually been the case.

  Where does WT get their money for its operation?

  as ex-mo, i know the mormon church makes millions of dollars each year by having its faithful members pay tithings and running quite a few businesses.

  i am pretty sure wt as a corporate makes millions of dollars each year.

  otherwise it wouldn't build thousands of kh's across the world i guess.

  Women's Role

  so as you can see this is my first post here...it's going to sound a bit jumbled i'm sure.. i stopped going to meetings exactly a year ago primarily due to my realization of my role as a "woman" (well i'm 22 but anyway..).

  to me, being a jw woman means a life as a subserviant housewife who can make no decisions and can only excel by pioneering.

  i realized that's the way the whole bible is...totally male-dominant.

  How do you feel about piercings?

  piercings are even more common than tattoos, and becoming more popular due to their relatively low cost and seeming temporary permanence.. opinions?.

  Personally, I am against any piercings! The reason being is that I do believe in the fact that 'acupuncture' works in healing via electrical channels in the body, and piercings disrupt the natural flow of these. Hence, a hinderence to natural and acupuncture healing channels.

  I do not mind ear piercings at all, but if I was a female I probably would not have that done either.

  Outaservice (who wonders if anyone ever had a piercing through their eyeball?)
