since i left the jw's i never wear a neck tie!
i probably have 75 to a 100 of them, but they don't seem to wear them in any churches, do not wear them to weddings and funerals, or even to exclusive restaurants.
i'm certainly never going back to the kingdom hall!.

I attended once, several years back, and throughly enjoyed the experience! Maybe, I will be able to go again next year or the following. Also, a beautiful area that time of the year!

I find it funny that here, at the bottom of this thread they are advertising 100 silk ties for $4.99!
Ha, how about $1.00?

What did you do with all of yours? Some ties were $25 to $50 each! Does anyone want to buy any? Ha.

i 've heard snippets of this absurd urban myth about jay leno asking j denver to leave his show because he hated jw's.
but why on earth on a prime time slot would j leno start asking j denver about jw's?
and i don't think j leno is a particularly spiritual guy or wt supporter is he?
Actually the true story was some JW's came to my front door, and I asked them to get out of here!
Look how the true story progressed and got distorted!

It probably should have been entitled 'An Open Letter To The Governing Body of Jehovah's Witnesses' and then followed by their own advise ADVERTISE, ADVERTISE, ADVERTISE. Maybe a nice little booklet that many of us could order and send on to active JW's we all know. And it is good you acted anonymously, it drives them 'nutzo'!

if your average publisher believed that the big a was definately not going to come in their lifetime would they bother preaching?
given that they believe that when you die you go to sleep and wake up in a paradise earth with a clean slate what would be the point of preaching.
those that have spent there lives as jw's and died what have they gained.
Well, if they couldn't'/or didn't count their 'time', I doubt many would bother preaching, and probably they would drastically cut down if they thought the end was a long way off!

my fiance and i visited the grand canyon and sedona last weekend and i was deeply impressed.
i'd never been to either place before then.. the grand canyon was so unreal!
it was snowing there which was just beautiful!
The drive from Sedona, North to Flagstaff, through Oak Creek Canyon is also spectacular!
South to Cottonwood and up to the Ghost Town Jerome is also a nice trip/view.

as a publisher, still buying the wt line that they were god's sole channel and any problems, doubts, etc... i had were all a product of my own lack of.
wisdom and or humility or failure of application, i would be shocked and puzzled at how long-time elders would resign and then fade away.
i would wonder: what could have happened.
Hi Zack,
I used to be an Elder too. Where did you get the figures on Elder numbers? This would seem to be a significant drop.

this song has inspired me to no end.
it is on the latest commercial for journey diamonds....have you seen it?.
very romantic and moving.....after much research it is sung by dusty springfield.. i'm still trying to figure out where i am going.......what are your plans?.
I guess I just want to enjoy God and what he wants me to enjoy. Eat well, learn things, go places and see things, make friends, enjoy family (at least the ones that don't shun you ) enjoy and appreciate your soul mate, work at things you enjoy, and be charitable.
